I'm not planning on going until April 2014 but I'm a planner and I know you need to plan for Disney. There will be 2 adults, 3 children (5yrs, 4yrs & 9months...at that time).

I'm going to sound picky but I'm looking for an off-site hotel/resort which can accomodate use comfortably. I would like it to have a balcony/patio, kids pool, a seperate bedroom or living space so the kids/baby can nap and a refridge (small one is fine).

We will be renting a car so free parking at the hotel would be nice too. Our trip will be 7n/8d and we'll visit the park only 3x then going to legoland and sea world.

I'm looking for a place that the children will enjoy as well as us adults.

*Just a side note but has anyone stayed at the Buena Vista Lake Palace? I kind of liked how there are balconies that overlook the pool. I feel like that'll be relaxing for the hubby and me while the kids sleep.

And I would love to rent DVC points from the beach club villas but it is out of our price range :(

TIA!

You should look into Wyndham Bonney Creek. Lots of info on the We Looooove WBC thread

wyndham bonnet creek, windsor hills, marriotts, there are several

I know there are several and I've seen that through my search ;) I'm looking for someone to refer one to me. I'm not interested in a house (windsor hills) I still want that hotel/resort feeling and interaction. I'm just looking for something that is specific that what I'm looking for: balcony/patio, kiddy pool, seperate living area aside from bedroom. Just looking for suggestions and personal experiences :confused3

Have you looked at Paradise Palms Resort? They have townhouses and single family homes each with it's own splash pool as well as resort pool, hot tub, movie theater, arcade, playground, sprinkler park, club house etc. We will be staying there in October, but have friend who stayed there and says it's great. It's a newer facility. We booked through globalresorthomes.com, but private owners are listed on homeaway.com and vrbo.com.

Love the Toy Story Rental. Thanks :thumbsup2

The Sheraton Vistana Resort and Sheraton Vistana Villages sound like they might fit your criteria. I have no experience or feedback with either, though....our first stay at SVR is this August.

Westgate Lake Resort & Spa also sounds like it is what you are looking for. While many on these boards despise Westgate, we had a great stay there last summer, and wouldn't hesitate to stay again.

Marriott Cypress Harbour

now it is closer to Seaworld than WDW.

closer to WDW either Wyndham Bonnet Creek or Sheraton Vistana Resort -both are close to Disney.

Wyndham BC is much newer. also like Grand Beach

Westgate should be cheaper - that say with Westgate NEVER do their sales pitch. if you are required to do it to get a good rate. Nothing is worth the sales pitch at Westgate.

then would go with Wyndham BC.

I would stay at the Marriott Harbour Lake. We stayed there when our kids were 1, 4 & 5 and they loved it. The pirate ship pool is perfect for that age group. I also liked that it was a smaller resort so it was very easy to get around with small kids. If the baby was napping, one of us would just take the other two to the pool. The only negative for us was that there was no real on-site restaurants. There was a small pool bar that had a limited menu. Of course, you have a full kitchen, but I just don't really like to cook on vacation. It was located very close to SeaWorld.

All sounds great. Thank you.

I think I'm going to narrow it down to the Marriott Habour Lake or the Wyndham Bonnet Creek. The only downfall which I just read is that the Marriott Habour Lake doesn't have many options for restaurants this makes me lean more toward Wyndham Bonnet Creek. Either way I'm excited to start planning the trip.

For us, WBC stands out because it has everything we want and it is on Disney property so I never have to leave my Disney "bubble" but don't have to pay WDW room prices. We love it!
There is also a separate WBC photo thread that you will want to check out.

do love Marriott - but Marriott has the same disadvantageous that Marriott Cypress Harbour does - they are across the street from each other - they are also near a bus system both Lynx and Itrolley.

If you want something close to restaurants then Sheraton VIstana Resort or Cypress Pointe
