I will be staying at Pop Century Aug. 28 to Sept. 5. My in-laws (better known as outlaws) will be crashing my party! Can anyone tell me if they will be able to park at Pop Century, take the shuttle bus with us to the parks and get into early entry with us. Although they are staying off site they feel they will have no problem doing the above three things. I am desperately hoping they are unable to accomplish this task!! What do you all think - will they get away with this or will they get stopped at the door. Thanks for any help. Snowbaby

They won't have any problem parking at Pop or getting on the bus with you, but they won't be able to get in for early entry without a resort ID. A lot of people will say that they don't check IDs, but I have seen them check many times. On our trip in May, IDs were checked every time we went to early entry, and we saw many people turned away.

In april my girlfriend met us the first night at pop and rode the bus w/ us to DTD. But for EE I think u have to show your resort ID to get in.

I'm willing to bet your outlaws will try to convince you to cancel your EE plans and enter the park with them later on.

Sorry to disappoint you, but they will have no problem joining you on the transportation. When we stayed at the All Stars, our cousins joined us on the bus to the AK. However, and this should please you, they will not be able to join you on EE. The CM do check and when we went last November, they were checking people's resort ID's at the TTC before they could board either boat or monorail. If they insist on joining you, just cheerfully wave to them as you enter the park!

Hello Mommy.....guess who!....That's right...ti's your darling daughter princess: just thought I'd pop in to say HELLO!!! SO Hello! And GOODBYE! :chat:

I consider myself a near expert on party crashing outlaws!! If I was you I would make it very clear that they will have to meet you later in the day someplace because there is NO way they will be able to get in early without a resort ID (actually chances are probably 50/50 that they could weasel in with you without being caught, but why take a chance....then you'd have to listen to "See I KNEW we could sneak in with you all,,,blah, blah, blah" all day...and who needs that?? And you at least get a couple of hours without them.

Of course then you always run the risk that they will decide to stay at Pop too (double ugh), so you all could spend every waking moment together...and you could listen to them gripe about Disneys high prices and how they are getting ripped off, blah, blah, blah...for the whole trip!!

(I am having traumatic flashbacks here!!)...

the best of all possible worlds would be you all line up together for early entry, they get stopped and you all have already gone through the gate...so you just wave and yell "Meet us at the Castle later" and you skip off to the "happiest place on earth"!!! But trust me...no one EVER gets that lucky!!

I'm happy to hear so many of you report that your resort id's were checked for EE. We went the week before Memorial Day this past May & I was very frustrated that I never saw anyone's id checked. It was the busiest week Disney had had in years (I later learned) & EE was no benefit of staying on site because everyone was there early. We rode on the monorail to MK w/ a school group & one of the chaperones told me she had never stayed onsite. I wanted to say "then you shouldn't be going to EE!! Hopefully our next trip we'll have better memories of EE. After last May I was ready to never try it again!

3 months later & I'm still venting! lol

On six trips to WDW only ever had my resort ID checked once, when I used the Animal Kingdom Rainforest entrance, was by myself and nobody else was there in line.

We just came back from a weekend wedding trip to Michigan where half of my husband's family was staying at the cheaper hotel next door to ours. They thought nothing of coming in every morning and having their fill of the complementary breakfast, even though a sign was posted saying that it was for registered guests only. They also swam in the pool because their hotel didn't have one. I said something to one of them about the sign but they just laughed it off.

The simple truth is, that it's wrong and it's STEALING to use/take/eat/swim in/ something that you're not supposed to.

Sorry to rant, but rude people really get to me.

Uh-oh! I see your lpans for EE going right out the window!!!! Better get them straight on this!!!!

Would they be able to park at POP all day without issue?

When we were there in May no one was checking resort IDs at the Magic Kingdom for EE. It was mobbed!

Oh, I so feel for you! I just got back from a week with my in-laws that I planned AND paid for and all I heard was complaints about how awful the place was. It was gorgeous! Like they say, if you could pick your family...

Last year we travelled with my best friend, her DH and DD. We got up early to meet for EE and they weren't there. As we were let into the park, we called them and they were still in bed! I can so feel your pain.

I would tell them that EE is for resort guests only so you have decided not to go. Then make PS for later and just have them meet you. Do something at a resort restaurant. When you show up, just mention that the kids were dying to get their first rides in so you went over to MK. If you tell them that the kids wanted to do it, you may get away without hurting anyone's feelings.

Good luck! Here's some pixie dust coming your way...:wizard:

Wow - thanks for this reply - I think we must be related - because me outlaws are sounding very similar to yours. They have already started complaining about the high prices of food and we are not even there yet. The only good thing I can say is that they only have a 3 day pass versus my 7 day pass. With their 3 day pass I can park hop and they can't. :teeth: When I get tired of them it will be "oh we're off to Epcot now - what , you can't come? Oh, that's too bad. Bye !"

Snowbaby -

I shiver at the thought of your outlaw's intended vacation violation. It sounds like you already know the cure for your dire situation: a variation on the old game of Disneyland Ditch'em.

We have had the misfortune to go to Disneyland with a variety of whiners, complainers and fault finders... sluggards who continuously wander off and blindly expect my DW and I to blindly follow. So eventually, we DON'T follow them and instead make a hard right or left turn and get out of their line of sight. They walk on for 5 or 10 minutes not even realizing we are gone. Sometimes longer. So we eventually meet up at a pre-determined rendez-vous point many hours later. The only explanation for the blissful joy of being without them - "why we lost you in the crowds...." Which gives them something new to complain about, but hey, they are gonna do that anyway. But we just smile and wink.

In your case, it will be Walt Disney World Ditch'em. Its a great game and you'll see how rewarding it can be. Those hours of peace and quiet are well worth the risk. Unless they have the car keys.

Best of luck!

Darian
