Off site, large Group ADRs, what would you do?

We are a group of 13 staying off site. The most requested reservation is Be Our Guest. If I can only make that one happen I will call it a success. Our Magic Kingdom day is Monday May 2nd. Is this one popular enough I probably won't get it? We are not opposed to splitting our group. How would you do this? Should I try two groups, 6 and 8? Or would three bookings be better, 6 and 4 and 4?

We would also like to book an Ohana breakfast and Sci Fi. Are those pretty much a no go for a group this large? Should I just try to book them separately? I'm feeling a little overwhelmed with booking dining reservations. Maybe we will just stick to quick service o_O

Be aware that a group of 6 or more pays an 18% auto-gratuity, so you're better off splitting into smaller groups.

BOG is insanely hard to get. Good luck getting that one at all unless you'll eat dinner at 4:00--then, maybe.

Beyond that, I can't advise as I wouldn't even attempt booking for that many people. It's hard enough getting the restsurants we want for only the two of us, and we go at one of the least popular times of year.

I would call Disney Dining on my day 60, unless you have at least one other person with an MDE account who could coordinate booking with you. For split groups, parties of 6, 4 and 4 would probably be easier to book than 6 and 8. I booked for 9 back in 2020, ended up calling Dining to finish up after making a mess, and wished I had simply called to start with.

I agree with this strategy to break up the group (I mostly have experience with 7, but have sometimes booked for 9). I would try to do it online first, since I believe calling means you have to wait until 7am and the online booking starts at 6am (EST). I've never called for reservations though. For BOG, time is of the essence since it's a tough reservation to get. I'd also think about whether you want to eat there for lunch or dinner. I think it's still an expensive prix fixe (someone correct me if I'm wrong), which means a big meal whenever you choose to go.

Agreed on all of the above.

Yes, it is currently that obnoxious prix fixe--appetizer, entree and dessert. (And likely to stay that way, IMO)

And the dessert is a trio, no choice. Unlike Hollywood Brown Derby where you could have 3 of one thing if you wanted.

Not so bad if you've 4 or more at your table so as to hand around the dessert you don't like to someone who does.

But then, BOG is akin to CRT (Cinderella's Royal Table). You go for the thrill of where you're eating, because honestly the food isn't fabulous at either.
