Off Site Hotel between Florida Mall and USO

DH will be attending a workshop in March and we want to spend any spare time at USO. The conference is being held at the Florida Mall/Conference Center so we are hoping to find a clean, affordable hotel located between the two. Any help would be appreciated.

Why not stay at Florida Mall hotel, its only 10mins max to Universal by car.

That's not a bad idea...plus you're right by the mall if you want to shop. Of course...that could be problem in and of itself.

The rate for the Convention Center is $161.00 per night, plus taxes. I haven't seen a very good rating for the hotel....I thought we might be able to do better for a suite below that rate.

What dates where you looking, as some UK sites have some great rates for hotels in Orlando.

Yeah i booked it for 3 nights on our arrival 2nd July till 5th July , just so DW can get the shopping bit out of the way , I HOPE?

Our dates are March 23 - March 29th. DH wants to stay any place other than a mall.

I'm glad to hear that the convention center is approx. 10 mins. from USO. It looks a lot farther than that on a map. I'm excited to be spending some time at USO! We LOVE Margaritaville!

I'm looking in the direction of a 1 bedroom suite @ Country Inn for $70 per night with the Friends & Family discount (found on another board). I'll have to do some checking on transportation....
