Off site check in ?

We are headed to the world tomorrow! We land at 8:15 and had planned to head straight to Epcot, and hop over to MK later on to attend the DVC party. That lasts until 1 a.m. While it will be a long day, we are up for it (just two adults), but I had questions about checking in. We have a reservation at Red Lion for two nights and prepaid for it. Would it be better to go by there first and check in (even though the room may not be ready?) or wait and just go after the party? I just don't want them to think we aren't coming and mark us as a no show.

Why not just call them & tell them what time you will be arriving. Due to late flights, I'm sure they get plenty of late arrivals but I would just call for my own piece of mind.

If it were me I'd swing by the hotel and check in when you get there in the morning. You never know, they may have a room ready for you and you could drop your stuff.
