I suppose. But, we spend so much less on an offsite condo vs. what a room at the Contemporary would cost that we could take a taxi twice a day, plus rent a car *and* pay for parking, and still spend less. Perhaps that's because we typically visit during Peak season, when the Disney resort rates are sky-high.
Oh yeah I should have mentioned stayed off-site during the peak season. Also off-site for me is not totally a Disney vacation it is more an Orlando vacation.
I see your point with the cab, but I would not sleep well with my teen taking a cab himself. I'd much rather he go 1 monorail stop to our resort.
I debate the on-site/off-site all the time and the bottom line for me is I love the Contemporary and as long as I can afford it I will stay there as my first choice when doing a Disney vacation.
