We are looking for accomodation within walking distance of disneyland for 6 people, we need 2 dbl/queen beds and the other 2 need seperate beds as I dont think my teenage son would be too impressed with having to share a bed with Grandma. I have looked online and only can find suites that sleep a max of 5 people or put granny and son in same bed :sad2:

Thanks

Try Desert Inn and Suites. We are booked there for March. They have rooms that sleep up to 10. We haven't stayed there yet but the reviews seem okay and the price and location are perfect!

Desert Inn and Suites is close by, is cheap, has clean rooms, but the beds are pretty sad and the rooms are older and need refurbishment. The pool is indoors, parking is exceptionally tight (limit one car per room, even the 10 person suite) and the breakfast is probably the worst on Harbor, but there is something.

Just came back from Desert Inn. The hotel's location can't be beat. The rooms are spacious, we reserve the suite that sleeps ten, so there is plenty of extra room, plus two full baths.

Yes, the beds are firm and the pillows are flat. We always ask for extra linens and it works out fine.

It's a terrific value...we stayed this week for $118 a night. :thumbsup2

Another thought...maybe Dad could share with teen son, and Mom could share with Grandma. It might give you more options.

I'm SO glad to hear this :lovestruc

I was coming to suggest DI&S also. We'll be staying there in a few months. We got the two sided room with one and a half baths. It should be perfect for a Grandma, an Uncle, Mom, Dad and three kids :)

Another option is the Peacock Suites which have two bedroom suites plus a pull out. The only downside is that it is two good blocks away which can be a long trip after a day at disney for DS and grandma.

here's a review I did on the Desert Inn when we stayed in '10. I really liked the beds - they were firm but comfortable (not hard). I know some of the complaints on the beds were from the A Parlor Suite, which makes me wonder if the beds were different amongst the rooms? I really don't know for sure.

Camelot Inn (next to McDonalds) would be an option. They have a "family suite" with 2 queens in one bedroom, a queen and sofa sleeper in another. The beds aren't too bad.

Carousel Inn and Suites has the View Suite with one king, 2 queens, and a sofa sleeper. The beds are great!

Fairfield has connecting rooms with 2 queens in one room, a king and sofa sleeper in another. Beds are very good.

Residence Inn has the Penthouse suite with a king upstairs, 2 queens and a sofa in the downstairs (2 bathrooms!) It is a little further of a walk but is on ART. Beds are very good.

We always had this problem of finding a place to stay for 6. The first time we stayed at the Castle Inn and suites. It was okay but I have no plans to go back there. Since then we get two adjoining rooms at HoJos - having the two bathrooms is a bonus I don't want to do without.
