Off shoot from another thread: why do we get upset if everyone doesn't love Disney?

I don't care of someone doesn't like Disney as long as they don't put me down because I do.

If they were with me I would just let them entertain themselves and I would go ahead with my trip. My ex DH didn't like Disney. We were at MNSSHP and he got sick of the crowds and just left. Left me with a 3 year old. I figured go ahead and go, I would rather have a good time without you.

After that every other trip was solo. He did it once and said he never needed to go again.

Did I mention that he is my ex? It's too bad too because his Step Father is an executive with ESPN and they get awesome Disney discounts. I think I missed that more than I missed the husband

A few years ago I had a friend asking my advice about their trip. She was writing the tips down and seemed all interested in everything I was telling her. I was honestly trying to tone it down from what we're used to on the boards, and trying to just give her some basic information to make her trip go a little more smoothly.

Well, she HATED it and acted all accusatory like it was my fault that their trip didn't turn out all that great. But when she got into a little more detail about the trip, it ended up that she threw all advice out the window and basically had a lousy time.

My husband does not like Disney. He's made 20 trips with me. He only says something if I try to make him spend more than 20 days per year there.

We've taken several people to WDW and none of them get it either. I'm not too bothered by it. The less people who like it; the shorter the lines are for me.
