Hello! We will styaing off property at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress for our upcoming Easter trip. Our group includes two adults and two 12 year olds. Can anyone recommend some fun/casual off roperty palces to eat that aren't super fancy, but also aren't fast food?

TIA for all suggestions!:flower3:

Thanks for the quick reply! I remember an Olive Garder by there, too. (Hope it's still there.) Any others?:)

There is an Olive Garden there (though it's not nearly as nice as the one on International Drive that's above the convention center). There a local restaurant called Johnnie's Hideaway that's right at Crossroads and a Sweet Tomatoes. And not far up the road are a Romano's Macaroni Grill,a Chili's, a Joe's Crab Shack, a Sizzlers, a Black Angus and a bunch of others, like a Kobe Japanese Steakhouse, up Palm Parkway.

You should have any problem finding a lot of different choices.

Definitely try the Sweet Tomatoes. Go to their website souplantation.com and sign up about a week before your trip for their "Club Veg". They will email you a coupon. We really loved this place, it was so good and so affordable. If we had tried it earlier in our trip, we would have eaten there twice! :goodvibes

We liked Chevy's at the Crossroads. It's new to us because we don't have that chain in Canada.

Our favorite is Bahama Breeze which is just past I-4 at the enterance to the outlet mall. Even my kids love the food there. Not too expensive, about the same price as a Fridays or Applebees. For great burgers at a really cheap price we like steak and shake which is a few blocks the other direction.

We love the TGIfridays especially with the deal they have going on now. Appetizer, entree and dessert for $12.99. We weren't able to even finish all the food so we had lunch the next day. Also I don't know about the one in Lake Buena Vista but the one in our hometown kids eat free on Mondays. Also another bonus if you sign up on the website for the give me more stripes reward program you get a free front of the line pass and a free appetizer. Our family is now hooked on TGIFridays.

I am gonna be sick...after eating at all these restaurants that I've missed SO much after becoming an NC resident. I absolutely adore Chevy's and have mourned the fact that we didn't have one here. Same goes for Sweet Tomatoes (there is a Sweet Tomatoes fairly far away from me but I can't ever find the time to make the long drive). I also saw in another thread that there's a Cattlemen's around; yet another restaurant stop to make! And then, there's Bahama Breeze (yum!) and Perkin's - I'm addicted to their cinnamon roll french toast.

Dangit, my stomach is grumbling.
