Off-property hotel help (first time visitor)

My trip is from August 21st - 28th. So I am booking more than six months in advance.

Do you think I should hold off a while in hopes of a better deal?

I did the advance booking/pay for room in advance for around that time last year. IIRC, I booked the room 2 months in advance, and paid around $80 a night. If it were me making the reservation, I'd go with the manager's special price that you were offered, but still keep checking the Stovall's website for prices. That way, you could cancel the reservation you have now & make a new reservation if the price went down, or keep your current reservation if the prices stay the same.

It pays to keep checking the website, as the day before I made the reservation I have now, it would've been around $25 more a night (even with the pre-pay option), and if I'd waited a week to make my reservation, I'd be paying around $50 more a night :scared1:  .
