Off Park Disney restaurants suggestions

Can you make a suggestion on a off park Disney restaurant that is good for the family. We usually visit Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary for the buffet and characters. The food is always great and you don't have to visit the park to dine there. I was wondering if there are some other Disney non-park admission required suggestions to take the family. Thanks

We like Boma's the best.

There's an awesome choice throughout the Disney resorts. Here are some of our (family) favorites:

'Ohana (Poly)

The Trail's End Buffet at FW is good too! It's all-you-can-eat bbq chicken & ribs, corn on the cob, pizza, sometimes burgers, and lots of extras, including salad bar and dessert!

Before or after dinner you can visit the petting zoo and pony rides, just a short walk from the restaurant! You can also browse through the "trading post" for Disney souvenirs, clothing, snacks, etc.

The Trail's End is open for all 3 meals, and the prices are pretty reasonable, compared to the rest of the "world!"

Mickey's All American BBQ is a lot of fun. The food was good and where else can you line dance with the characters?

Whispering Canyon at WL - fun atmosphere, good food, a chance to visit WL and check it out. No characters at dinner, but the CMs there are enough "character" to make dining fun!

Boma at AKL - go early enough to check out the animals at AKL, make sure to try the soups and desserts! If you are there later, you may be able to time it to do the night vision goggles at Arusha Rock (starts at 9pm, so if you finish eating close to that time it would work out great).

If you have any sports nuts - ESPN at the Boardwalk! We never go to the World without a visit here! TVs galore, sports and usually a sports "celebrity" visiting at some point during the week (several baseball celebs there last week!).

Oh, and don't forget Beaches and Cream for a quick bite - or dessert! Get the Kitchen Sink for the whole group!
