Off menu items (Dinner)

Just popped in my head, but a recent cruise I went on the (westbound panama canal) our server whom we got to know, stated to a table mate that the vegetarian meals for tomorrow werent very good and would have one of the chefs, cook up something special. It ended up that the chef from india (which most are vegetarians) for her. It ended up some curry dish, just curious has this happened to anyone else? or any experiences with something similar?
