Off location parking with shuttle to Disney ship at Port Canaveral - a thing if the past?

It seems that parking off site and shuttling into a Disney cruise is a thing of the past!

I’ve been on 10 Disney cruises out of PC and for almost all we were parking at Park n Cruise. We would drop everyone and their luggage off at the Disney terminal, then just the driver would drive to Park n Cruise then shuttle back. It’s always worked out really well for us.

We are getting ready to cruise for our first post cruise trip and started to book our parking only to notice Disney no longer listed on the website. I called and confirmed they no longer shuttle to the Disney terminal. Odd right?
So I called a 2nd off site company … this time I got more answers.

The women who answered was very nice and started to say she didn’t know why Disney was no longer an option. Then she got very upset and flustered then said “oh well, it’s the truth and I’m going to tell you the truth” then proceeded to tell me that Disney decided one day it will no longer allow shuttles into the drop off/pickup so they showed up and were turned away, making for very angry customers that they needed to refund. She said that all the lot owners go together and decided they would no longer service Disney because they didn’t want to take the chance of having to refund angry customers. It seems like no reason or warning has been given by Disney!

We are traveling with 3 vehicles (12 people) for an extended family trip so the savings would have been about $160 - ish for parking off site. Not the end of the world but pretty crappy of Disney to nix yet another cost savings option to the guests.

Something's not right.. This one still services DISNEY. The parking at the Port is run by the Port not DCL so there would be no reason for DCL to chase their shuttle away also the Hotels still shuttle.

It may have something to do with the port arrival times. I know when cruising returned disney would not let shuttles in if they were too early for their arrival times and made them leave and wait. Maybe the companies just couldn’t work it out.

Very true. if you look at Park Port Canaveral's website they state you are taken based on PAT. Others probably didn't want to schedule and dumped everybody at once.

Shuttles depart every 30 minutes. You will be boarded based on your Assigned Check-in Time.
