Oct. 3, Friday - We slept in and then swam at the main pool. We lounged and sat in the hot tubs, played "shark" in the pool for about 2 1/2 hours. We walked back to villa to shower, eat and get ready for Mickey's not so Scary Halloween party. DH was Man in Black from Princess Bride, BIL was Zoro, Dsis was "Princess Debra" (which means she was an original), I was a wench, DN8 was Aladdin, DN6 was Captain Hook, DS6 was Buzz Lightyear, and DD3 was Tinkerbell. I was aiming to get us to the MK about 4pm and we got through the gates before 5pm
. DS stripped off his Buzz costume first thing (he had shorts/tshirt underneath) because he was overheating. DD didn't even make it to the park with her wings still on, but at least she wasn't hot. I was warm in my layers but Aladdin was cool in his cotton pants and vest. The men were hot in all black but they liked looking
. My Dsis got so much attention for her costume
because she was original. She wore a pink lanyard full of disney princess pins and a sparkly pin that said "princess" in big letters (not a disney pin). We pin traded all the way back to Toon town and got our pictures taken with all the characters in the Judge's Tent. We stood in line for the fairy tale ones but were allowed to visit all of them once we were done. Saw cinderella, Suzy (mouse), Tigger, Pooh, Minnie, and Goofy. We rode the Barnstormer twice in a row. By this time it was 6pm and time to go to Tomorrow Land (because the park was closed). I stayed with DD while everyone rode Space Mt. Then I took a turn with DS and DN8 who wanted to ride again. While I was riding the men rushed off to do Alien one more time before it is changed. Dsis and I took the kids on Buzz, trick-or-treated then it was 7pm(and the men were back) so we were off to Toon Town to get our picture taken with Mickey as Scarecrow and Donald as a pumpkin. Did some trick-or-treating there. We took our pics in front of Cinderella's Coach, then found front row spots in Frontierland for the parade. Kids liked this alot. After parade we watched Cinderella's surprise Celebration in front of the castle (8:50pm) then stepped over to the bridge for the fireworks. The flying witch and surround fireworks were a big hit with all of us. Now we were hungry so we ate at Cosmic Rays, no lines at all and plenty of available tables. We bought MNSSHP pins (6 total, 2 didn't want one) at Star Traders. We all went to Mickey's PhilharMagic
and enjoyed it totally. This is the first 3-D movie my DD has worn the glasses for. She kept trying to touch things and they all loved the cute ending. Too bad they didn't put moving seats in like Shrek, I think they cut the budget. I do like it that it wasn't scary, perfect for the family. Next the men went to the Haunted mansion while we took the kids on their last requests. Looking back on it, this was not fair, as they got to go on Alien (and HHN the next night) but it all happened so fast. We did the Carousel for DD, Pooh for DN8 , the Tomorrowland speedway for DS6, and Buzz again for DN6. The men met us at Buzz and we limped slowly out, pin trading along the way. We rode the ferry back as we had riden the monorail in. We didn't get home until after 1am!
