Sept. 30, Tuesday - We decided to go to Universal today and got a late start. By the time we had purchased our tickets (the military special ones could not be purchased ahead of time) and gotton through the gate, it was about 10:30am. It is hard to hustle a group of 8 without being a shrew so sometimes I've got to make myself bite my tongue
. I hadn't planned on being late so I wasn't sure if we should stick to my plan. We decided to stick to it and it worked just fine with the low crowds. We rode Jimmy Neutron first (10 min. wait) which the three oldest kids loved. DD3 watched from the stationary front bench with her Dad and she liked popping the bubbles. Did Shrek next (under 20 min. wait). The line area was comfortable with fans blowing and tvs to watch. The preshow, however, 
scared all the kids, they thought we really should leave. They did enjoy the part of the movie when you gallop but none of them wanted to do this attraction again. Next we did Men in Black with nearly no wait. We baby swapped even so which saved even more time. 3 adults and 3 kids rode while I stayed back with DD. I took 2 boys with me twice. My Dsis bought a pic of the 6 of them in their car - really cute
We had sandwiches and apples while watching the kids play at the coke cool station. The plan had been to ride BTTF but the kids were ready for play so we rode Woody's coaster over and over and let them blow off steam at Fievel's playland. We watched the 3pm showing of Barney. DD totally was into this. We were some of the first out of the theater and in line to meet Barney (lucky!! we didn't know to do this). The picture turned out really well of my two so I bought it later. Dsis and I watched the kids in the play area here while the men went to ride Jaws. We told them to meet back at Fievel's as DN8 didn't like Barney's playground. Men were gone for about an hour as Jaws line was long. They were unimpressed so Dsis and I didn't try to see it. We rode E.T. altogether. Big hit so we rode again! DD took a nap in stroller while we adults took turns watching Terminator 2 and taking the three boys on Jimmy . Then we swapped for Twister while taking the boys on more Jimmy (they really liked this ride).
We decided to have this be our eat out night and we voted for Hard Rock Cafe. I bought a pin for my jean jacket (purchased in Las Vegas 10 years ago, I only have about 8 pins, only buy where I eat) and a fanny pack. We got back to our villa and had a night swim in the quiet pool which wasn't all that quiet with us in it
