Of these hotels, which would you pick and why?

after reading it looks like we might just go for one of theses. That leads me to my choice, sorry for walking in on the op thread:goodvibes, but I wanted DLH for Its closness and Disney feel so of the mention opptions what ones would you suggest?

Well....None of these hotels are themed like a Disney resort. If you have kids, they'll probably like the water park feel to the kids water play area at Hojos. FFI had some photos of WDW, Mickey, etc on the hotel room walls. (All rooms have thesame photos.) But that's probably as close as you'll get to any kind of Disney theme. CCI has a theme of sorts, it's themed like a boutique garden hotel in a motel setting. HTH!

We really loved Desert Inn and Suites. It was very, very close and very quiet, which is important to me because I can't sleep when there is a lot of noise outside my door. The room was big. For $99 a night we got a room with a separate living area. It felt big and spacious. It was very clean, the pool is an indoor pool so if it's cold you can still swim, and the people who worked there were very nice. But above all, we just loved the short walk to the parks. The "free" breakfast wasn't much, which is ok because we always eat at LeBrea Bakery before going into the parks.

I really enjoyed it and we absolutely plan to go back there next time we go to Disneyland!

On our recent holiday we split our time between Paradise Pier, the DL Hotel and Desert Palms. The Desert Palms is the only one of those I'd go back to.

My number one criteria is that a hotel must be 100% non smoking. PP and DLH allowed it in the grounds - we had no such issue at DP. Also, DP provided a nice free breakfast, free wi-fi, quiet, comfortable suite (with full size fridge, microwave and oven), and lovely staff, for way less than the PP and DLH. Having a 7-11 and mini mart right next door was hugely convenient, as were the other shops and restaurants nearby.

I'm not even going to look at other hotels next time, I'll just book straight with Desert Palms.

Thanks so much everyone! I'm leaning towards the Candy Cane, especially since it looks like it may be a little cheaper than when I originally booked!

CCI would be a great choice, for all the reasons mentioned above...it's our favorite......popcorn::

Love CCI as well. Did it first, then went HOJO as I'd heard raves about it (and to be fair, for the kids, the water park is cool) but I just didn't care for the service at HOJO. Had a very big biz feel whereas- as I've posted on these boards before- CCI feels very homey and family oriented and they go out of their way to help you out. So we've been staying there ever since and have loved it.

Heck, just writing about it makes me wanna go back. Think I'll start planning a surprise March/April trip for the kids :)

Another vote for the Candy Cane. They really do a great job keeping up the property. I think it is better condition than many other places only a few years old. The breakfast is great as I want something quick and easy in the morning so we can get to the park when it opens. It is near the ABC mart, 7-11, Subway. They have free parking, no resort fees, it is close, the pool is warm, etc. The only knock I have heard about the place is that the rooms are small. Yes the rooms are small and if that is important to you stay somewhere else. Our family doesn't care about room size as we are in the park the entire day and really only use the room to sleep.
