Cm told me again today that children over 9 are adults and they can only have 2 adults per room. This means that me, dh, and 3 kids would have 2 rooms. With what is showing available at 2 rooms, he quoted me $9000.oo for the room!!!!!!!

call again.

anything over 2 adults is charged extra for any more adults in the room. but a 9 year old is not an adult - except where the tickets are concerned and DDP.

if he starts again - just tell him fine he is an adult and can stay by HIMSELF.
when a person is 18, by Disney standards he is an adult and stay in a WDW resort room alone.

hopefully then the person will realize what he is saying.

Call back and get a cm who actually know how to do their job properly.

#1) The over 9 is for dining and tickets not the resort room.

#2) More than 2 adults are allowed to stay in a room. There is an extra per night charge of $25 at the Contemporary.

Myself, my DH, DS(14) and DD(10) are all staying the same room at the Contemporary with no issues. :confused3

I would call back.

Anytime I call Disney for reservations, dining, grand gathering experiences or whatever...and don't like the attitude or answers I am getting, I will just thank them for the help and let them know I will call back later. I just redial and 99% of the time the next person is much more helpful!

I cannot tell how many times I have corrected the CM's on the phone because they were giving me incorrect information. It is VERY frustrating!

Good luck!!!

Definitely call back. In Nov my family of 5 -- DS9,DD7, DH, my mom, and myself -- stayed at the Contemporary, and we didn't have a problem.

The non-suite Contemporary rooms sleep 5 (2 very comfy queen beds and a daybed. You could also have an additional child under 3 use a crib and still fall within the occupancy limitations. Children are considered "adults" at 10 and over for park tickets and dining but are not charged an additional adult occupancy charge until age 18. Sounds like that CM was confused to say the least. Call back...you'll probably have better luck.
