# of Nights for Dining Plan

We are staying at Old Key West for 7 nights. My boss gave me a week of his timeshare. Can I purchase the dining plan for less nights than I am staying? We would like to purchase 5 nights. Can you do this??

DVC owners staying on points MAY INDEED do this (no one else may). Your boss will have to make the arrangements for you.

You have to purchase as many nights as you are staying on the dining plan. You can buy less days on your tickets but not your dining plan.

As the above poster said I think it is different if you are DVC members. If you are not the person whose condo you are staying at will have to make the arrangement for you.

You can indeed do this as DVC (the member has to do it, as mentioned above) but there are some reports on the DVC board of it not going smoothly.

I think it was initially, and I think they were switching dining plans during the stay.

OP, just remember your credits will be limited to those days/nights and won't be valid the entire trip.

If the OP's boss has already booked the stay, they'll need to ask him to rebook it as a segmented stay so they can have the dining plan on whichever segments they want the dining plan. It's not that you can just say "I want the dining plan on these five nights" you have to book the five nights you want the plan on as a specific segment (if they are consecutive. If they are not consecutive it will be multiple segments). And yes, there are a lot of reports from DVC members that segmenting reservations for dining plan purposes may not work smoothly.
