I am budgeting my excursions and want to include the cost of the floats for the day. Does anyone remember how much they charge for the blue floats? Thanks!

or.. You could buy floats (not blue) at the dollar store and blow them up at CC. we were able to find ds and dh easily in the sea of blue floats

We also brought our on floats and it was very nice to be able to find your party in the water with a different color float. We also used them in St. Maarten and St. Thomas so we got our money's worth. We even brought them home and are now in use in our pool for the summer.

A great idea, but how do you blow 4 floats up? I've got a lot of hot air but I am not sure I have that much!

Start the night before ;)

We have a pool and have found the little plastic foot pumps to be quite useful; they are not heavy & would be easy to pack.

I LOVE this forum! You guys are sooooo helpful. Just when I think I have it all figured out, someone comes up with the idea of the colorful 99 cent floats. Sure beats 6 bucks.

Just wanted to say thanks for the info on buying the float's for
CC at home. I went out and bought 2 today. I thought even if
I leave them behind I am still saving $$. More $$ to spend on the photo's at Shutter's. Now my question on CC I want to make sure
I am one ofthe 1st one off the ship. What time do they let you off and what deck doyou leave from. I am staying in room 2026.

Minniegidget,
Don't worry about being the first off the ship. You will find plenty of space on the beach. We were traveling with two other families and my family got off first because we were ready. We just planned on meeting in front of the volleyball area. There was no one done there, plenty of umbrellas and chairs also. We were not looking to get hammocks or whatever as there is too much to do on CC and not enough time. We played volleyball, snorkled, a little floating, lunch, a little more snorkling and it was time to go. Some of the adults went to the adult area to snorkle and by the time they came back the beach was empty as the water was closed.
Don't stress about being the first off. They will announce where you get off the ship as it depends on how they dock.

This will be the third year that I bought the floats at the $ store. Don't worry about blowing them up, it really only takes a few minutes.

It's not always easy to get one to rent ... and as they say, necessity is the mother of invention! Saving a few $ for Disney souveniors has my attention.

I even took mine to St Thomas and St Maarten.

Have fun and don't sweat the small stuff ... spend your energy on making fun family memories!

I'll echo TX Shelly. There were very few people waiting to go on CC when they opened the door (8:30ish). We walked right past the tram to the Family Beach and got ourselves an umbrella and hammock without having to have the kids shove anybody out of the way (the prime location -- the umbrella, hammock AND the palm tree -- was grabbed by the first person off the ship -- obviously a CC vet). We were just watching the video of our day at CC and laughed at how empty the beach was until about 10am. By noon, every inch of sand -- and even the first couple of feet of water -- was filled! Advice for CC is the same for the parks at WDW. Get there early, and enjoy your own private paradise (at least for an hour or so).
