Of crowds and scooters

I saw mentioned at the beginning about the privelage for front of line with wheelchairs. This does not happen anymore. Yes you are taken to a special area that will accomodate the wheelchair, but most of the time you end up waiting longer than in the regular line. Some of the rides only have special cars every so often.i.e. safari ride, IASW, ect.

I have used a wheelchair a couple of years ago. I have tendonitis of the feet. Yes I can get out a walk like a regular person, but I can't keep walking. so If I stop to go to the restroom I can get out and walk in. I have had comments made behind by back, ( they were being said in what we call the loud quiet voice so I could hear it) about the wheelchair and me walking in. And the LOOKS. I should be dead. I also do not use the handicapp area of rides. We park the wheelchair and I get out and go on the ride, Like the regualr people. I stopped using the wheelchair as I was very upset, Now I have come down with asmtha very bad case of it and when I walk any distance I get totally out of breath, so my DDH has told me ther is no way I am going to try to walk the parks anymore I tried it in June and it did not work.. I have my own wheelchair and we are going to bring it and I am going to ride in it and if anyone says or looks at me the wrong way they will have to answer to him. this totally surprised me as He is the the most non fighting person I have ever met.

Basically, don't judge until you know all of the facts first.

I saw this statement awhile ago on one of these chat rooms and I think it is worth writing it again.

Some man who was really against people in wheelchairs was telling the story of being at WDW and saw this little boy in a wheelchair. He went on how he felt about this little boy who jumped out of the wheelchair and ran around and he voiced his opionion about this. What he had not seen what was on the front of the little boys t=shirt. When the little boy turned around it said "MAkE A WISH". He said he never felt so bad in all of this life and that he would never pass judgement again on anyone in a wheelchair.
