Has anyone ever ordered a Christmas Tree for your room while staying at WDW over the holidays? And if so, Do you get to keep the decorations? Someone told me this....just trying to find info.

How much does ir cost? Is it worth it...we do not have children & thought it could be a nice surprise for my husband.

Thanks everyone!:teeth:

Ordered a tree from Disney? Hmmm, havent heard that one. Although if Disneys reading, look for it soon.

Well...now I just gave them a way to make more $$$!! LOL
Really though...someone told me this today. SO I figured this would be the best place to get the right answer!;)

Now I hope it is true....if not...I think it just might burst my bubble.::MickeyMo princess: ::MinnieMo

You can order a tree from the disney florist. It is around $300. You keep it and the decs.
I shipped a tree, decs and presents to my resort a week ahead and we decorated it when we got there. Much cheaper and the family loved it.
Here's the link, but I think they will only have the tree online closer to Christmas. http://www.disneyflorist.com

The Disney Florist tree is already posted on their website. Here is the link for the tree and they also have Christmas stockings . I've been told that the tree contains a hidden pin, but that you can add more if needed. Also, you can customize your tree by adding on a Mickey Mouse club hat with your families last name embroidered as a treetopper. They will also do individual hats and attach them like ornaments on the tree.

If cost is an issue and you have transport, go to the Target store in Kissimmee. I took my mother to the GF during the holiday season and wanted to surprise her with a tree in the room (nice glow at night). I didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars. So, I had her relax by the pool one morning while I headed to Target. I got a great table-top tree with all the trimings and lights for around $30. I just had the thing shipped back by the front desk before we left.

Have a great trip! :)

Our eldest son ordered one for our Christmas stay at the GF two years ago. It was different than the current one....taller and IMO "prettier.";) But some years, more then one have been offered. So maybe others will be offered later?

Anyway, it was a wonderful surprise. It was delivered to our one of our rooms while most of us were down at the marina. I returned to find this beatiful glowing tree. It has these spangly things that glow off and on.

My daughter was in the adjoining room when it was delivered...doors ajar...and didn't even hear the elves!

When we checked out NY Day, the wonderful folks at GF Sugar Loaf packed it into its two boxes and shipped it home for us using our cc on file. It warmed our dining room all last holiday season and I can't wait to put it up again.

And yes it is artificial but of a very good quality as you would expect.

We bought one when we went in December 2002. It is gorgeous!
We hemmed and hawed about buying it and in the end we finally ordered it just a little while before we left home and they only had 3 left.

It has the fiber-optic lights that the colours change in waves. We spent many hours watching it. Luckily we drove down so we brought it home with us in the van. The box is about 3 feet high and 2 feet square. We had it up that Christmas and again last year. Yes, it was a lot of money but I think the enjoyment we're going to get out of it will last for a very long time.

PS during that trip my DD (then 1 year old) was sick a lot of the week and we spent a lot of time in our room. The tree made it all worth while.

Enjoy your trip!!

I checked it out on the Disney Florist website. So CUTE! But get this....I was going to surprise my husband & have it waiting for us in the room. Turns out...he went to surprise me! :Pinkbounc

Thank goodness we talked about it....I would have had 2 trees in our room!! LOL:tongue:

SO now it isn't a surprise for either of us. But we look forward to our FIRST WDW CHristmas!

Thanks again for all of you responding to my thread:wave2:
