Odds on short-notice BWV standard studio?

Hi all! I have a question for the experts... I have a reservation at the ASMu for Labor Day weekend (c/i Saturday, c/o Wednesday). I'd like to extend my stay through Thursday, but rather than pick up an extra night at the ASMu, I thought I might try to rent DVC points for a BWV (or BCV, but I'm not holding my breath) standard-view studio. Budget-wise, I would really prefer the standard vs. preferred view, but I know there aren't very many standard views. Does anyone know if this is likely at all, at this short notice? Any advice greatly appreciated!

BCV has no standard view. All points there are the same as BWV-Preferred and VWL.

I wouldn't hold my breath for BWV standard view either. I think that there would be a long enough wait list already for the standard views that your chances aren't great, especially since this is a week night - a Friday or Saturday would have better odds.

If you don't want to spend too many points/$$$, OKW is an option. It is a beautiful resort, I don't think you'd be disappointed. But, since you're looking for just one night, I'm guessing you want BWV/BCV mainly for the location. Or you can use this as an opportunity to try out the DVC accommodations.

Since you have to rent points, you may have to just take whatever the DVC member can get at the initial phone call since it would be a hassle to go on a wait list and readjust the points used and payment if something else came through.

*nod* The "one night only" and location are why I'm looking at BWV vs. OKW. I stayed at OKW last November and loved it (other than my room location being kind of stinky, but you can't have everything), but wanted to try BWV this time. The days when I will be able to afford DVC are FAR, far away, but I like checking out new places.
