very low if you are new... past two years as a silver cruiser they were all already booked on opening booking day by platinum and concierge guests... last year we did find ourselves lucky enough to get one though because we happened to be online at the right time and saw some open up and we grabbed one, they were gone in less than 60 mins... not holding my breath for one on our next trip but a gal can hope
We are silver, we did not get one on the family beach when the window opened, but I kept checking back and was lucky enough to get one. You can also get on a wait list once you're onboard the ship in case someone changes their plans.
Last year I was gold and snagged one by diligently checking the website regularly. Funny story - on our second day on the ship, we ran into a client of my husband's (we had no idea they were on the sailing until then). Turns out, they were the ones who cancelled the cabana we snagged! They moved to the new extra large one when they found out it had been opened for booking.
We were able to snag on in August on the Fantasy as silver about 2 weeks before we sailed. I was checking every day and had all but given up wheni found one. Actually ended up giving it up to another group on our cruise meet three as we decided we didn't want to spend the extra $.
Our first cruise we managed to get one 20 days out. Although I checked frequently (not every day, but sometimes more than once in a day), it was a matter of happening to check at just the right time after someone canceled.
For our 3rd cruise, we made friends with a person on a cruise group who was conceirge and had one and offered to share.
I have gotten one as a Silver around 2 months before. Don't give up hope, check daily as much as you can.
I have also put my name on a waitlist when we board, and was able to get one on SB.
I know the cruise I'm on leaving Sunday a serenity bay cabana opened up 5 days ago and made it to the end of the weekend just sitting there. And another person in Our group said they were releasing a family cabana and this was 5 hours ago in the middle of the night and it is already gone. So keep checking your never know and hope your lucky enough to be on right when one was released.
I had no idea it was so difficult to get a cabana...I just booked my first cruise for 2/28, and I got a cabana on Serenity Bay the same day I booked. In fact, there were two available. Wow, I guess I lucked out
Low season (late November) and on the Magic, we got a Family Beach cabana for our Nov. 2015 cruise when I did online check in at midnight as soon as the silver booking window opened. It is possible! We also found a family through our cruise group that we were able to share with, so we could spread the pixie dust!
They are on the Cruise Meets subforum. At the top of the list, you'll find a thread for each ship, each year. The first post in that thread will list all cruise departure dates for that ship that year. Scroll down to find yours. If there is a Cruise Meet group started, there will be a link. If no link, nobody has started a thread yet -- feel free to do so!
