I'm going during the DDP and I don't have reservations for Monday night, so I thought that we could go to the boardwalk and eat at the ESPN club. Do you think this will be a problem due to Monday night football. We will most likely go at around 6:30. I appreciate your opinion.:scared1:

we loooove the ESPN Club-it's one of our favorites :)

Anyway, they don't take reservations so no worries about that. With that said, I would expect a crowd but the wait *shouldn't* be too long. What time does the game start? If you're comfortable sitting at the bar at a high top, the wait will probably be shorter.

HAVE FUN! :)

I think that the games start at 9:00. I can't sit at the bar, I have 3 boys. I thought that it would be good to eat here because they love chicken wings!

Thanks for the reply!:goodvibes

630 shouldn't be too bad. You may have to wait a little. A few years ago we were at ESPN for NFL kick off and Chris Berman was there. He walked up to our table and said hi and asked if we were having a good time. He did that to alot of people. Now everytime he is on, I say that we have met him

Actually you can sit in the "bar" area - there are tables all around and booths along the walls - plus you can get the game systems at the booths to play on the tvs -- I have seen lots of kids in that area doing just that (in fact just two weeks ago).

True it is a bar in the sense you can order drinks but it is non smoking and looks like any other restaurant these days -- only lots of tvs and sports memorabilia.

Yup-what Liz said! :) There are high top tables not actually AT the bar that you can sit at.

Gosh. Can't wait to get back there. And the wings are A M A Z I N G!

Monday Night Football isn't usually until later in the evening. We were there for the first MNF game (preseason), and it didn't start getting crowded until after 7 for an 8pm kickoff. There seemed to be more people there to catch baseball games than football, though, including a table of about 10 all decked out in Red Sox gear and us in our Tigers caps.

There is no Monday Night Football on Labor Day. On the 10th, there is a 7pm and 10pm game. Aside from that, Monday night games are at 8:30, so I doubt you'd find heavy football crowds as early as 6:30.

I'm guessing that you're going in Sept if you're during free dining? If you're going in Oct by any chance then I would make sure to allow extra time b/c aside from MNF there will be baseball playoffs.

We just ate at ESPN Club on Wednesday night. The Yankees and Red Sox were playing. I'd suggest getting there early - the Monday night game won't start until later. We specifically asked about the bar area when no tables in the restaurant were available - children can sit in the bar area but not at the bar. There were a lot of high tables and quite a few booths. DH got DD a soda and each of us a beer from the bar. We kind of wandered around until we saw a family leaving a booth. Then we grabbed it and had a great meal. ESPN Club was lots of fun. We got there late - after Illuminations so it was around 9:30 or 10:00 by the time we walked over from Epcot.

thanks everyone, I feel better now. We are into football, so I forgot all about baseball!
