Odds of AKV value studio having a savannah view?

I know that the value studios can have a savannah view, but what are the odds of actually getting one? I read that the values are either pool view or sunset savannah view.. does anyone know which is more abundant? Can you make a request to get a savannah facing value?

We could not request a view before we arrived. We arrived about noon and requested a Savannah view if possible. They said it was not available yet and would call us on my cell when the room was available if we wanted to wait for it.
We waited and visited DTD until they called about 3 hours later. We thought it was worth the wait. We looked out over a fenced in pen area but from the 4th floor we looked out over it and saw plenty of action.

This request does not always work if a room is not being vacated on the day of your arrival. We requested an even number standard room at BLT when we checked in but was told none would be available that day. We ended up being very happy with our 2nd floor odd number room with the courtyard view/music. You could crack your patio door and hear beautiful music while we were there during the holidays.

You cannot request a view with the value villas. You get what you get.

there are also a couple of parking lot view value studios - i have stayed in one.

you are most likely to wind up in a savanna view or pool view room, but you are choosing a value room for the point savings. don't be "that guy" who complains about the view.

if you really want a savanna view, then book that. if you book a value room, enjoy the savings (and consider a great view as a bonus.)

hahaha oh i wouldn't be, don't worry. besides even without a savannah view in the room itself, it's not like it's that far to go to the lobby or wherever to see it!

For value rooms, there are four 2BR lock-offs (adjoining 1BR and studio) and four dedicated studios that are savanna view. The same for pool view. There are two 2BR lock-offs that are parking lot view. You should note that the parking lot view actually sees mostly trees and other vegetation between the room and the parking lot.

I just left today and had a 2bdrm lockout value. When I checked in online, there was a drop down to request a savanna view and that's what I got. My kids loved waking up and looking at the animals. My room numbers were 7937 and 7939 on the 5th floor facing the pembe savanna.

All Animal Kingdom Villas Value accommodations are located at Jambo House. The room numbers listed and Pembe Savanna are for Kidani Village, not Jambo. If your confirmed points reservation and points used were for the Value level accommodations and you actually received Kidani standard or savanna views you lucked out and received a rare DVC upgrade.

I have understood the views at AKV to be:

Jambo Standard view=pool view
Jambo VALUE view=4 pool, 4 savannah, 2 parking lot/trees (guaranteed category but you can not request a view)
Kidani Standard view=parking lot/back of pool

We stayed in a value 1BR that faced the pool at Jambo. It was a great value for the pts. We really enjoyed the view of the pool, savannah in the distance and Expedition Everest in the far distance. It was convenient to the lobby and elevators too.
We have also stayed in a savannah view at Kidani. While we loved the view, it was much less convenient to the lobby, pool, valet, ect. If we stay at AKV again it will be in a value at Jambo. I am crossing my fingers we can get one next year!

My mistake, for some reason I was thinking mine was a value. My room was a standard.
