Odds for DVC rental for Aulani?

We are waiting for the seven month window to open for renting points for Aulani, but I am having a hard time being patient. How likely is it that there will be points to rent for January 2015? We have never rented points before and don't know anyone who can rent them to us, but I am really hoping we can make it work!

Has anyone else had luck renting points for Aulani at 7 months out? Did they have the points available right away or did they become available later?

It really just depends, January after New Years day isn't as in high demand for DVC rooms at Aulani, and at 7 months any DVC owner can book Aulani, not just Aulani owners(they can book at 11 months out), so I would think your chances are pretty good.

Have you checked with Davids DVC Rentals? That would be a great spot to start to be sure to get it all lined up before that 7 month window opens.

You did not mention what room category you are looking for, the lower point categories are usually the first to get snatched up (standard view and then on up the chain) so if you have some flexibility in the booking category your odds are even better.
