Odd things you've overheard in the parks

My own brother thinks Disney and Magic Kingdom are one in the same. He once asked me why I would go to disney for 7 days to see the same thing - I explained Disney is like a city, with 4 parks and 2 water parks :rolleyes1

On a bus heading to DTD we overheard a guy saying he wanted to go see that "circus de soul"

Not in the parks, but at work I had someone from IT fixing my computer, so he was linked into it while we were on the phone. I have a night time photo of Spaceship Earth as my background. He asked where that was from and I said "Epcot! In Disney!" His response "Oh yeah that carnival place" I laughed about that the rest of the day.

Actually, many people call MK Disney, because in the beginning it was the only park. We first went in 1972 after we were married. I've been calling it Disney ever since.

From my mother:

I was in the bathroom and in the stall next to me was a girl and her mother. The girl was grunting and I guess was having trouble using the bathroom. The mom then said, "It's ok. Think. Concentrate. Let's sing our song." They both then started singing Let It Go. XD XD

This is just kind of cute but, sometimes you run into a person or family that you recognize from a different park or a resort on property, so it's kind of cool to be seeing them again in such a big "world". I saw this mom and her daughter at our resort and again later exiting Epcot and I heard the mom say to the daughter "Do your feet hurt honey? You did a great job today!" I just thought it was cute and funny....as wonderfully fun as Disney is, it sure is a lot of walking for both kids and adults.

Once, when I was a child at the Magic Kingdom with my parents, I remember getting off of Splash mountain and crying and yelling that I didn't get wet enough! :lmao: After all, it IS called "Splash".

That reminds of our last trip to DL. After being on GRR 3 times in a row DS then 9 was complaining he still wasn't wet enough, so I poured a 2/3 filled bottle of water over his head, then he was happy. They don't call me evil mom for nothin'!

not AT Disney, but about Disney... a little 7 year old friend of mine who has never been, but watched plenty of Disney junior plus commercials told us that her new dream is to go to "That Mickey Mouse carnival where they have balloons and you live happily ever after" (she is so cute, I hope she gets to do just that)
