Odd RCI phone call

Today we got a phone call from a woman "about your RCI exchange". Well, lots of DVCers may get one, but this was about our "Wilderness Lodge Exchange". Odd, because we sold our Wilderness Lodge points almost 10 years ago! She was very surprised that we no longer had "an exchange" at Wilderness Lodge, and said she'd update the records. Boy, those are some old records they're using!

It was almost certainly a scam call -perhaps one of those groups that wants you to pay a big fee to join some type of vacation "exchange".

AFAIK, RCI does not make outreach calls of any kind.

I agree with Carol. Do NOT give out any information to those scum bags! Besides...10 years ago I think DVC was with II instead of RCI.

Did you recognize the phone number the caller used? The next time you get a call like that, try to look up the phone number at Callercenter.com and find out details about it. Not only is the service offered for free but if it has been used in fraudulent calls before, you'd know about it, too.
