odd question

so the family - ie inlaws and DB and i bought a contract. we share it half and half. i then bought another contract, and would like to split the first so that it can be in my name alone..... is this possible?

There is no way to split a contract. You would have to sell it and re-purchase.

Nope. As PP stated, once a contract is sold by Disney it can't be further subdivided, only sold as is. Your best option would be to let the others buy out your portion of the shared contract, then purchase another of your own. I can't imagine how well that would work, sharing a contract amongst families like that. Sounds like a recipe for disaster.
