The London waterfront facade that hides Diagon Alley, is that something you can walk up to w/o a park ticket? I'm not sure it's the same waterfront I'm thinking of that sort of joins the parks but has restaurants so I'd guess not unless they got London theming.

Did something get replaced for DA or was it unused area?

For the big HP experts............. I've seen the movies but it's been awhile. The last few seemed sort of dark so I'd assume most of the theming is on earlier movies. If had to pick one movie to re-watch to get the most out of new HP stuff, which one would you recommend?

Thanks.

The London facade (and Diagon Alley) are located at the back of Universal Studios, so you'll need at least a USF ticket to see it. It's in the same location where Jaws used to be.

The Wizarding World doesn't take place during one specific time, but I would see the 3rd movie or something later, as they will have Hogsmeade in it.

Maybe you're thinking of citywalk??? The new DA and London area are in Universal Studios in the back of the park

The new Gringott's Bank ride is based on the last book (last book actually was split into two movies) so that might be a good one. The dragon on top of Gringott's is explained, and probably the new ride also.

Gringott's is also in the first movie when Harry and Hagrid go to get the Sorcerer's Stone and then to Harry's vault for wizard money.

The London façade and Diagon Alley are in the Universal Studios park, Hogsmead and Hogwarts are in Islands of Adventure.

You need to watch the Diagon Alley scene in movie 1 toward the beginning of the film in order to get the best shot of Diagon Alley in the movies. Then watch the break in at Gringotts scene toward the start of the 8th film to get what the ride is about.

I think you are thinking of the Citywalk waterfront..Diagon alley is inside the studios back way in the back between Disaster and Fear Factor attractions. It used to be the Amity/ Jaws ride.No way to see it without a park ticket

Thanks everyone. Yep, I was getting confused looking at a picture that looked sort of like the other side of the water at cityplace, where you can walk along the paths to join two parks but I knew it didn't make sense and now remember someone said Jaws area for HP at US.

If staying at RPR near IOA and getting access to an hour earlier at IOA WWoHP, would that be the best way to get to new US HP stuff? Be ready to ride train over to US to ride Gringotts and see Diagon Alley?

I'm sure the rides are set up to handle an onslaught of people but would Diagon Alley just be a mess with crowds and not so much fun? If Diagon Alley is sort of poking around looking for themeing and shopping and food?
