odd names I have an unusual name. Never have seen it on the boards. Olive Anyone else with an unusual name?

There was a girl named Dorcus on a tennis team we played against in high school...we thought it wa sa nickname,,but nooo

dd has one,, she is secret leigh, she has an older sister named sunny, a cousin named spring, one named summer, her "fathers" family has a history of strange kids names is glad i just bought in as her daddy much better "father" abandoned her years ago i got together with dw when sec was 18 months so shes been mine forever

I have met a D'Artangnen (sp?) named after one of the three muskateers. He was called Dart.

I also met someone whose name on his birth certficate was Bubba!! I thought he was kidding initially, but he wasn't. Boy did he live up to his name!

Of course, I have no room to talk since my DDs are names Ashlynn and Maiya.

My DH's name is Kerrick. I have never heard that name before and I think it is so unique, but he hates it. He goes by his middle name Sean. He said it reminds him of kids in school calling him Carrot. I think he needs to let that all go now that he is an adult because it is such a great name. I do call him that every once in a while.

just picturing that scenario. I can't imagine - I think I'd make the preacher use my middle name if my first name was Dorcus
