Odd free dining question

Say they DO actually offer free dining in October. Can only ONE person in the room have the free dining plan? I ask because my husband, kids, and I will have AP. We are wanting to bring my niece with us and her parents are hoping for free dining for her to save them some money. Is it possible to get reservations and add tickets and free dining just for her?

Unfortunately, no. At least in the past everybody in the room had to be on the same package. But you could buy two day tickets for everyone then upgrade hers only to the number of days really needed. Then saved everyone else's and put towards your next AP purchase. It's more money now that you'll have part of your annual passes paid for next time. Or if you don't renew your APs you use them on another trip. Just be sure your AP's are prioritized ahead of your 2 day tickets so they don't accidentally get used. That requires a stop at guest relations OUTSIDE the park.

How old is the niece? Would she have her own room? For dining it has to apply to everyone on the room reservation. You could buy tickets for yourselves and use them toward the cost of renewing your AP.

Yep. I would take advantage of free dining for everyone. Buy two day tickets. Upgrade your nieces tickets once you're there and save your two day tickets.

Yes, just upgrade hers on arrival.

Note last year you also had to get either hopper or water park and more options on your tickets.

No, you'd all have to get the park hopper or Waterpark option. But still worth it, if you're planning on getting AP's in the future or even just upgrading up to 10 day tickets.

Everyone in the same room has to be on the same plan
So if you only get 2 day tickets you will either have to buy a diffrent ticket for your niece or on k y be able to book 2 days of fast pass for her
Or buy the longer tickets and save yours to renew your ap or for a later trip
