The last time I went to Disney in September, I had the regular DDP, and I lost two pounds. Do you think that going with deluxe will make me gain a bunch of weight, or since I'm really only doing the deluxe plan for the signature meals, I should stay about the same weight?

My plan every day is pretty much a TS breakfast or lunch, at this point I'll either be doing five or six character breakfasts, and those I do mainly to see the characters, not to eat. Then I'll be doing mostly signature dinners, which I know the portions are large, but I find them slightly smaller then the one-TS meals, which I ate a lot of last year, and still managed to lose weight.

I guess I'm just worried about gaining weight, since some people that I've told about the deluxe plan in real life think that I'm just going to eat, and come back a big fat pig. Which I don't think is the case, especially since I exercise so much there. I guess I'm just looking for reassurance. I was just so excited when I first booked the deluxe plan, especially since I got such a great deal on it, and now people are raining on my parade.

if you exercise and dont stuff yourself i think you will be fine. you dont have to eat everything on your plate. it seems like your a healthy person so follow your instincts. i'm pooh sized and actually dont eat alot at home (crappy metabolism and dont exercise enough) but while on vacation i go all out and eat what i want and where i want, and i dont gain weight. i dont eat more if i am full and the walking helps...
so again i dont think you have to worry about gaining weight.....

I have a horrible metabolism too, my thyroid is underactive, and that has something to do with it. I am kind of healthy, like yesterday, I had a cabbage thing for dinner, but the other day I need have macaroni and cheese. I've been counting my calories, and I try not to eat over 1,800 a day, which I started just two weeks ago, but I have lost a pound and a half, so it must be working. That 1,800 calorie thing will be put on hold while in Disney though. I don't even want to think of how many calories are in Figaro fries, LOL.

I eat what I want....I just don't clean my plate! I learned at little trick that helps with this. After you are full.....take a salt shaker and pour salt on the remainder of your food. That way you aren't tempted.

We just came back from doing the Deluxe DDP for 5 days and I actually lost 5 lbs... We loved the plan and will use it again.

a day!

We had the plans twice in 2007 and picked tasty foods that were not over loaded with bad stuff. We did not gain weight.

Take advantage of any excercise things- I did yoga each morning at 7am on the beach at BC Villas. That was amazing to feel that good all day. What a luxury!:cloud9:

last year on the basic ddp I lost 5lbs. This year on the deluxe I stayed the same, neither lost nor gained. I did eat more than I usually do tho

first, get new friends ;)

i lose weight at WDW also, & eat more than when at home.
but, at WDW i eat a light b'fast, healthier foods, drink gallons of water, & walk a lot (we use the stars instead of elevators, "stroll" around the resort at night, etc).
skip the fried or sweet foods, & you should be fine :thumbsup2
