I have friends at Disney now who have never been before. I have but never on the dining plan. They have 3 reservations left. Coral Reef, BOG, and CRT. So that's 4 credits per person. They only have 3 credits left and want to know what they should do. First thought is obviously pay out of pocket for one BUT they mentioned their in laws who are with them are going to have credits to spare that they haven't used. They aren't on the CRT reservation so there's no way for them to wear parents' Magic Bands and use their credits with their permission is there? They asked and I have no clue since I've never done DDP.

I dont see the harm in trying to pay with their magic bands? All you do is give the hostess the name of the person its reserved under "i have a reservation for two for John Smith". Then when it comes time to pay, slap that magic band on the dohickey thing, and youre done! They dont ask for ID or anything. Although if im wrong, im sure someone will be along shortly to correct me. :rolleyes1

Wait....are your inlaws going into MK with them? Cause if they wont, and they give them their magic bands to wear for CRT, will they work? I think they have to be admitted into the park with them. Once inside the park, swap magic bands.

Are they all on the same reservation, or on separate reservations? If on the same reservation, all credits are pooled and it doesn't matter who uses them. On separate reservations, it would be technically against the terms of the dining plan to use credits for someone else.
