Can you use it for Carry Out at either Trails End or at Pop Century for whole 16 inch pizzas? What about Pizza delivery? Is this pizza even worth it??

Also, does anyone know if it is accepted at Yak n Yeti CS yet?

I can't answer all of your questions but I do know that they do not accept the DDE at the Yak n Yeti counter service, only at the table service. We ate at the CS a few weeks ago and we were told they were not going to accept DDE at the counter service since they had table service available.

We ordered a pizza at Pop and were able to get the discount. We just showed the card to the cashier and they applied it.

"Yes" on the pizza at POP and "yes" at Trails End Buffet.............

Unless the policy from the beginning of the year has been changed in the past few weeks, DDE is NOT accepted at Yak and Yeti for either the counter service or table service.

The above post about Yak & Yeti is the first time I have ever seen anyone mention being able to use DDE at Y&Y.

I think Yak and Yeti was on the DDE when it first opened. It's on our printed out list of restaurants from December, but I don't see it listed online now. We looked at the pricing when we were there in December and even with the 20% discount, it was extremely overpriced. $16 for pho? I don't think so.

Tusker House, on the other hand, is a bargain and especially at lunch with the DDE. I wish they handed out recipes there.

Yeah...I do not see Yak and Yeti (table or CS) showing up on the online list right now.

I ate at Yak and Yeti a little over a week ago. DDE was not accepted but 10% off for an AP was.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it might have been on the AP restaurant listing that I saw the discount. I get so confused!

I remember reading about Pizza delivery, I just can't remember if it was here or on Disney's site. Anyway, I read that pizza counts as 2 adult CS meals. So you can get pizza and still have your kids CS for a day!

This thread is discussing the Disney Dining Experience, not the Disney Dining Plan, which are two different programs. DDE is a discount program for annual passholders and Florida residents.

You can apparently use DDE for pizza delivery because it's accepted at value resort food courts. It's also accepted at POFQ. I would be interested in knowing if you can use it for pizza delivery at the other moderates, since it isn't accepted at the food courts there (the sit-down restaurants accept it at moderates where there is a sit-down restaurant).

Definately can be used on the take out pizza at Trails End, as well as the chicken meal there. Yak & Yeti is not accepting it at the table service & our waiter explained it is because they are actually not owned by Disney but by Landrys. They did honor a 10% annual pass discount but I am not sure if they just felt bad that we were told by the person making our ADR that the DDE was accepted there.

Right, I am asking about the DDE card, not the DDP. We have always had the Dining Plan since it started a few years ago, so well versed in that. We are considering a quick budget trip, eating only CS. Just wanted to get an idea if you can use the card for things other than the typical meals you walk up and get.

DH is having a fit that I feel 50s is out, as he always has to eat there, due to his obsession with fried chicken. :sad2: We could make two dinners out of picking up the take out bucket over at Fort Wildnerness though. We either budget this trip, or we don't go!

our waiter explained it is because they are actually not owned by Disney but by Landrys.

There are several Landry's restaurants at WDW (two Rainforest Cafes as well as Y&Y) and none of them take DDE. I'd guess when they finish the new T-Rex at DTD (also a Landrys property) that place won't accept it either.

There are some non-Disney restaurants that take DDE (Raglan Road, Planet Hollywood, several of the Epcot World Showcase restaurants) so not all non-Disney restaurants have declined to participate.
