Octuplet Grandmother....WOW!

Hey, maybe the Duggars would take them in!:rotfl2: If ever there was a family built to cope with fostering 14 kids, that's the one! Plus, it would save that poor woman's uterus from any further activity.

I know you are just joking but this actually has been discussed before.

I am not sure how they would feel about fostering children, but the Duggars' Quiverfull beliefs would preclude them from adopting. Adopted children are considered damaged goods. How sad is that?

 :headache:

You know, I don't even watch that show, but the more I hear about those Duggar parents, the more I dislike them.

Does anyone really expect this grandmother to raise all of these children? And what's to stop the mother from having even more?

She might have invited the press in out of desperation. She can't stop the daughter from having kids and she likely doesn't know what to do now. I feel for her and her husband.

ThaHowever, I do think it would be difficult to find loving homes for all of these children. Add to that the special challenges of some of them (two are on medicaid for special reasons, autism, etc.), and that will make it even more difficult. To add more fuel to the fire, these kids are now well-known.

In this case I think it might make it easier to find good placement for these children and it's mainly because they are well known. With the whole country watching I think the state will be really cautious about what kind of home or homes they send them to.

And there are a few people in this world who I think would be willing to take on that many kids. I've watched TV reports before about couples who adopt lots of kids that have disabilities. Now mind you they don't do it all at once but that's not to say someone wouldn't in the case.

And then THEY need to get the help from people and the TLC show. :thumbsup2

Has the new mom been offered any help in the line of a book deal OR diaper company/furniture company/car company??? :confused3

I have not heard of any as of yet. Ann stated last night that they were not paying the new mom for the Dateline interview.

I've definitely seen some very honorable people open their houses up to many kids and those with special challenges on a regular basis. If it comes down to that, I hope one of those families is available.

Not that I've heard and I am really thinking that she will get very few because of the public reaction to this. I think most companies would not because they would worry about whether they would lose customers over this.

There are already online petitions with thousands of signatures of people vowing to boycott any company that associates itself with this woman. And the companies know it.

If the story wasn't so controversial, I'm sure she would have sponsors lining up. But because of all the is going on with her, companies don't want to be connected with the story.

Doesn't matter.....some stupid producer is going to pitch a new reality show any minute now and "cha-ching". She's a total head case. Poor babies, not only is there a high probability of them having a sucky life.....now they get to do it in the public eye.
