I will email everyone the account and password to upload their Photopass numbers. If these dates don't work for you, please let me know and we can adjust. I know it is only two days to upload, but remember that you can edit anytime after uploading the photos. All the edited photos stay together.
We will have 30 days from the first upload to edit. Once everyone is finished, I will order the CD. The latest to order will be around the 17th of November, but I am all for ordering sooner if everyone is finished and okay with that.

I will update this thread with more info as I get it.
This is really getting me in the mood for our trip. I can't wait.

Hello all,

I copied some of this from justkeepswimming's post and she has offered any advice or Q&A to help us out.

How Photopass Share works:

1. Everyone will pay their portion when we close the group to new members.

The final amount will be calculated at that time:
Currently DL CD is $59.95+ $5 shipping that Disney charges to send the orignal CD. This works out to $12.99 pp as it stands right now with 5 people. We would then need to add approx $3.25 pp for Jewel Case/ CD ($.75), padded mailer ($.50) and postage ($2.00 approx)

Total cost=$12.52 as it stands now (updated 9/24)
Payment can be made with money orders sent to me or I can accept paypal. I will send emails to the email address everyone provided asking you to verify which payment method you will be using. If you chose paypal, I also sent a link to submit payment to me. If you want to mail payment, I will include my home address in my email to everyone.


2. Go on your trip and take LOTS of pictures! There is NO limit to the amount of pictures you can take! When you start your trip you will get a photopass card from any photopass photographer in the parks. Your photographer will then scan your card. Take as many pictures as you want !! Stop every photopass photographer you see. They are great opportunities to get the entire family in those pictures ! You can use multiple cards but it is easiest for you to try and use the same card as much as possible.

A great tip is to take a picture of the number on the back of your card or write it down somewhere. The cards are easy to lose, but the number is all you need to access any photos.

4. When you return home DO NOT create your own photopass account to view your photos If you create your own account with your pictures you will no longer be eligible for this Photopass share. You can either email me your photopass information and I will then enter it into our group account on your assigned upload days or you can enter your photopass #s into the group account yourself. I will email our group account login info to you on the night before your upload days. ( If you do enter your information into another account there will be no way for us to change this and you will then need to order your own photo cd).

5. Editting Info-We will assign everyone "upload days". That way, your pictures are kept together when they are entered into the system and your pics don't get mixed up with other familiy's photos. After you upload your pics on your assigned days, you are free to edit your pics up until the end of the share. All your edits will stay grouped with their original.

6. After everyone has entered/ editted their pictures, I will order our CDs from Disney. This will take about 2 weeks to arrive sometimes a little quicker. I will let everyone know as soon as I receive the CDs from Disney.

7. Once I get the CD from Disney, I will burn each family a CD of just THEIR vacation photos. This will be easy to do if we have all entered our photopass cards on different days. I will mail out everyone's CDs in a standard jewel case in a padded mailer.

Feel free to post any other questions you might have. I will try to login regularly and stay in contact with everyone throughout the share.


The first post will be updated as people join and will also contain the days for uploading photos.

Be aware - If you have the Disney Visa and you get a voucher - they have to be redeemed at the park. You can look at your photos at anytime in the park, use the free 5x7 voucher, and it does NOT effect being able to input the codes on my account at a later date.

I added you to the share. Yes, you can use as many cards as you want. Most people try to reuse the same card so they don't have to carry as many aroung or input as many codes.

So we have seven confirmed. I believe Pam963 is a go. As soon as I hear one way or another, I will sent out payment info and assign dates for uploading. This will be a little tricky because several of you are returning home around the same time, but I'm sure it will all work out fine.

That makes the price of the CD $8.12 pp.
I will go today and pick up Mailers, etc. and try to get a post office shipping estimate.

I know this share is closed but I have a couple of questions: where do you buy the $59 photopass card: online, in the parks? Do you do it after you are home? I am only familiar with the Disney WORLD ones that are $99 and MUST be pre-ordered to get that price.

You can either buy it at the park or online. The price is the same and it doesn't have to be preordered.
Keep in mind, when you buy it, your edits must already be made, so unless you want to stand at the park computers, it is easier to do it online after you go home.
