Okay I am confused now. I thought the weather the first part of October was warm enough to not use jackets in the evening but my daughter says that we will ned jackets because it get chilly at night. Do I need to bring a jacket for all of us?:confused3 If I do it will give me an excuse to buy us new ones:yay: Thank you in advance if you can help me out with this.

Here in Florids- weather changes quickly. In October, halloween has the kids wearing the most summery costumes possible because it is so warm- and the next year we might need to wear long sleeves for chilly, rainy/breezy weather at night. Typically, it is warm in the day, especially if the sun is out. If the sky is overcast, it may be breezy & at night it can also be breezy. In any restaurant or store it will be COLD. You need to have lightweight thin sweater or zip front hoodie- not warm northern jackets. My DH can wear jeans in the hottest weather- but I cannot.
The weather can be very warm, 80's in day and then a bit chilly at night if windy. Bring shortspant/jeans, short sleeve tee's/shirts & light long sleeve something when needed. Also- poncho or unlined rain repellant windbreaker.

Have fun!!:wizard:

Disneycatz; Thank you for the information about the weather changes. I will for sure bring a light weight jacket for us to have if needed. I already have the ponchos for the four of us. I can not wait for this vacation, have been planning for a year. 65 more days:yay:

Of the past 5 times that we have been to WDW, 3 trips have been during mid-October. Outdoors, the family - ranging from adult to infant - was comfortable without any type of jacket/hoodie. I would strongly agree with the poster that mentioned the cold temps in restaurants at the resort.

We went to WDW the first week of October 2005. It was VERY hot the whole time!! Mid 90's during the day, with very little relief in the evening. Also VERY humid. We never needed pants or jackets!

Have fun! :goodvibes

We went to Disney the second week in October and it was HOT! We thought the kids were going to melt the day we went to the AK. We ended up spending $20 on a squirt bottle fan for them (something we would never do if the heat wasn't unbearable). At night it cooled off just to make it comfortable. We were there for ten days and it was hot the entire trip. You never know what it is going to be like so you have to be prepared for anything. We are going this Oct and we hope it is cooler w/o being cold. Enjoy your trip!!

We were there from October 8-13 of last year. I remember it being a little cold in the morning, so the DS's usually wore fleece pullovers. I don't remember it being cold at night at all. The night that we went to MNSSHP it was actually pretty hot. Have a great time!!:goodvibes

I think you have to factor in where you are from. When my Aunt comes to Arkansas from Florida in October she wears a jacket and is cold when we are wearing short sleeves, no jackets, shorts.... you get the picture. For our two trips to WDW in October we never needed a jacket. We were quite warm, though we did see the locals in long sleeves and jackets.

We go every year in October, usually the 1st or 2nd week of the month. While we have always brought jackets, we haven't ever needed them. Sometimes you'll get a little chilly in a restaurant, but other than that...I don't see needing one. Normally the weather is still warm in the evenings, although not anywhere near what it is during the day. At night we mostly wear pants/jeans and a short sleeve shirt and we are very comfortable.

We went in Oct 04 and again in Oct 05. It was warm and we did not use jackets. In Oct 05 some of the nights it was a bit cooler and we were happy to have a windbreaker at night. Both times were about the 3rd week in October. I'd take one along.
