My ideal time of year seems to be Late January / early Feb, but I’m wondering how it is late October like maybe last week of the month, into early Nov?
Is it humid? (I hate humidity. lol)
Crowds seem to not be bad according to any crowd calendar I’ve checked.

Any thoughts on Jan vs Oct?

We like late October too. It isn’t as humid but is usually pretty warm. But the summer afternoon rainstorms and threat of hurricanes are essentially over. Food & Wine Festival is in full swing as are the Halloween parties, but it’s not quite as busy as the first two weeks of November which have Jersey Week, Veterans Day, and the runDisney weekend.

We’re more likely to book January because it’s cooler, the humidity is low, the crowds are a little smaller - and the DVC points costs are less!

We did this exact time this past October, ~10/29-11/4 and loved it. I don’t do well in the heat (I say going to WDW for July 4th 🤦🏼‍♀️) and there were some days that were 80s with normal humidity, but not awful (I’m from the east coast so all I know is humidity so take that with a grain of salt lol) but most days were in the 70s with nights cooling down into the 60s. I bought a sweater/zip-up when we went mini golfing one evening and needed it a few times surprisingly. Not sure it’s always like that but I’d accept the slight risk of warmer weather to see WDW in peak Halloween season and then magically become Christmas overnight, so cool.

We also went this January and it was a bit cold and dreary/rainy most days. It was nice to be in WDW in cool temps but it felt almost odd lol

Yep late January was great (my only trip. lol)
But I’m thinking since my birthday is late Oct and it would be nice to hit a Halloween party(s).
Also, trying to talk DLR friends into it, so looking for more “weenies”. ;)

Fun! You’re thinking of going this October? I’d say definitely do it, especially for a bday trip! We really enjoyed Mickeys Not So Scary, so I’d definitely recommend that too. I’m sure you’ve been to DLR during your bday season/Halloween so you know how amazing it is around that time, WDW is the same. And Halloween into Christmas? Just 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼

Not this October. My next WDW trip is planned for Oct 2025 thru Jan 2026… sounds so far away. :(

We have VGC this December, so that’ll be fun.

I agree with your next WDW trip being for your birthday in October! Especially sometime during the last two weeks. It’s a great time to be there!

Aw booo that is so far away! (Maybe time to plan a sneaky shorty trip for this fall/winter cause yolo😎)

VGC in December is a nice consolation though. I’m sure that will be amazing!

We have visited WDW more times than I can count starting in 1981, but October is the only month we’ve missed. We came close once though!

We have family birthdays in October and January. On our January trips, we’ve usually run into chillier weather. Our last trip in late January was in 2020 and the weather was overcast and chilly (colder in the evenings). My birthday is right around the MLK federal holiday, so we have learned to avoid that time due to crowds. We’ve lucked out much better weather-wise in late February, but bad weather here at home in PA is a consideration. Personally I would choose October over January. And yes, celebrating a birthday at WDW is wonderful! party:

Yep, i am leaning "the birthday" way, its just starting to realize the point difference may force me to do some extras to be able to stay a whole week. Standard views, instead of Savannah, or Lake, boooo. :( (or maybe start off at Pop Century. lol)
My plan is to just book it in November, & see what I can come up with & if it doesn't seem to work out, I'll switch it to January.
