We've always been Oct/Nov people, and love the Halloween party, low(ish) crowds, Food & Wine, etc. BUT, wondering about Feb. I'm talking Feb of 2009, which sounds SO far away! (it would take the place of our Oct/Nov 08 trip...) Anyway, I've heard that Feb is nice; low crowds, mild temps, and my sil is trying to hook me into that w/them. Thoughts? Pricing? Crowds? Temps?? Thanks a million!! :wizard:

We usually try to go then, and have enjoyed it since October is sometimes still too hot and humid for us. I'd say it's normaly in the low 70's during the day, but can be fairly freezing in the mornings and as soon as the sun goes down. Of course Hubby and I love that kind of weather, so it's no big deal to us!

The crowds aren't too bad, (the longest we've ever had to wait is usually less than 20-25 minutes) and I think the first part of the month, before President's Day, is still considered the value season, so it's not all that expensive. In fact, we were able to get a AAA discount for the 2nd through the 8th this year at the CBR, which boiled down to a king bed room for less than the cost of a standard rate double bed room.

Can't beat that. :thumbsup2

We've done both and give the edge to October. Keep in mind that only the beginning of February is a slow period. If you're going later in the month (President's Day) then the crowds are very heavy. February does have the advantage of getting you out of the cold winter up north (if that's where you are located). But we just love the Food & Wine festival and that alone would get us to WDW in October.

I love going in October. The Halloween Party decorations make it so festive, plus the lighter crowds and the Food and Wine Festival make October my favorite month to go. However, February is nice because it's cooler out. The crowds are heavier but being in the park on Valentine's Day is so sweet. I vote October.

Getting nervous:rolleyes1 Is 2/10 -2/15 the beginning of February, even if it ends the Friday before President's Day Weekend?

we go in February as a rule. Though we have been in Oct and loved it as well. February crowds week before presidents week are generally mild and the week after presidents week as well are much better than presidents week itself. The weather can get quite cool so pack a light jacket for evenings.
