October trips? Columbus day weekend

Prices at Swan & Dolphin are at rock bottom (is $196 a night) - I'm tempted to try to go home for just a little while - even with all the risks. Is there an October trip thread somewhere?

Well it's been Indigenous Peoples' Day in California since 1992, but I used the more commonly know holiday I think it's also known as Jersey week.

I too have an October and December trip booked. Not sure if I will keep either. Just going to have to wait until closer to the dates before I decide.

Restaurant booking is now 60 days ahead instead of 180. So nothing is bookable for October yet, but will be.

I'm able to see plenty of restaurant availability for tomorrow. Are you searching the full restaurant list or trying for a specific restaurant? Some restaurants are not open and likely will not open for some time.

My sister and I just booked October 19-23 at POP. Will cancel if we have to but looking forward to relaxed park days.

I guess my "rock bottom" is less than $196, it would be if that included the resort and parking fees. But when you add in the almost $40 per night resort fee and if you drive another $28 per night for parking That $196 just turned into $236-$264 per night.

We have stayed in prior trips in Oct during this holiday. In the past, it was a very busy week and weekend.

We felt it was more crowded than our June trips as there was so much going on at that time. F&W and the Halloween parties used to draw huge crowds. One school in Arizona had that entire week off, for a fall break (my nephews school).

I am not sure what this year is going to look like, I am sure it will not be the same crowds as the past.
