Still mid 90's here so nice to get out of southern AZ.

It was 96 today is North Georgia and they expect record heat for the rest of the week.

I started a pile of clothes in the closet. I have a small section of nothing but vacation attire. It's loading all the food/essentials into the motorhome that gets to me. Do we have enough food?, Do we have everything we need? Do we have all our park gear? After our daughters wedding on Saturday my mind will go back over everything 2 million times the next 2 weeks.

I use half of what i pack, so if i forget stuff i will be ok.

I type up a packing list and tape to the kitchen cabinet. I am constantly adding items I forgot to list and then it never fails that we still have to make a run to Walmart for something .

DH corrected me on about paying for parking if U drive to other parks. There is no paying for parking.

FINALLY all packed and ready to leave about 10am tomorrow. It will be one of our usual long days. 290 miles, 4.5 hours because we like to stop before 3pm. I guess I know now why it takes us weeks to get to the fort from Arizona.

Heading to the Fort in 14 days. Packing a range of clothes for the weather.

Next weeks forecast looks like 88 highs w thunderstorms, evening lows 73-68.

Is this typically muggy, humid weather?

Packing a pair of jeans and a fleece jacket and a couple long sleeves, then everything else shorts, t shirts, sundresses.

Don’t know if an extra pair of long pants is needed in the evenings if the 70 in the evening is more cool than muggy.
