October Trip Question

Hi! I won the Jif/Smuckers trip and we finally have our dates for travel. We are going from October 11th-17th and paying for the two additional nights ourselves. We are staying at All Star Movie Suites. Do you think this time frame will be really busy? It is a few days after Columbus Day Weekend. Also what are the temperatures like at this time?

The crowds should be quite manageable. It's a good time of the year to go. Be sure to check out the Halloween party! You'll have to get separate tickets to attend the party at MK. Check out www.weather.com for average temps. It'll still be great weather!

we are going for part of those days too. There are 2 days for the halloween party, the 12th and the 16th. You have to ahve a special ticket for that if you are doing it. It's more if you wait and buy at the gate. This is a great time of the year to go.

You picked a great time to go! The weather should be nice not too hot or cold, and the crowds should be okay.

Do some research on DIS and you'll be able to plan a wonderful trip!

I wish we could afford to do the Halloween Party. We have to buy tickets for 6. Even though it is a "free" trip we still are paying for flights for 2, tickets for 2, two extra hotel nights, airport parking, stroller rental, and food for 6 so it is going to cost us at least $2500 for the 6 days there. I am just so grateful to be able to go. Our last vacation was in 2001.

Congrats! Try eating out for lunch instead of dinner. The prices are better! October is such a great time of year!! We always go in October and in January. The parks are not crowded at all. At night it cools down a little and feels great! During the day it is nice and hot!!! Have a magical time!!!!

First of all - CONGRATS!!!! October is an absolutely beautiful time to go. DH and I always go in Oct - we will be there Oct 13-20th this year and can't wait.

You may want to bring along one pr of pants and a sweatshirt or jacket just in case but you probably won't need them. The weather is usually beautiful and still warm.

Rent a fridge and take as many snacks as you can into the park. Stackable cups might also help avoid those $2 soft drinks.
