October Trip and Haunted Carriage Ride

We will be arriving on October 21 through October 25 (late check out) and have planned to do the Haunted Carriage Ride on the 23rd. This is our 10th Anniversary trip and the first time we have been there in October. Has anyone done it yet this year and if so, how is it? We live 90 minutes away and I’m certainly hoping for some cooler temps. It seems like a good snuggling event and it hate to do that all sweaty. Looking forward to seeing all the decorations and adding a few of our own. We should be in Loop 300 by the creek.

We went the first night this year. Please make sure you are there ON TIME or you won't be able to go unless a later scheduled party gets there early and can go in your slot. We were literally 7 minutes late because DS had a diaper accident and we missed our time and had to wait until the next slot which we were only able to get because the family in that slot came early.

Frankly, we were disappointed. there were not many decorations (the campers had MUCH better decorations - Disney could take a hint) and the tape recorder with the story kept shutting off. I thought for $60 they could have done much better. It was nice to see the trail, which we had never seen before; however, we probably won't do it again.

One interesting thing we had though is we busted a young couple on a golf cart doing you know what!!!! Our driver had a hissy; and told them they weren't supposed to be there with a golf cart and reported them. Thank goodness our little guy is only 20 months old so we didn't have any explaining to do!!!
