October Solo Trip - Against all the rules

This song nods like a FANTASTIC idea. I unexpectedly spent a day and a half on my own on my last Disney trip, and there is something truly wonderful about no plans and just winging it. I ended up doing things I never would have done if I'd been with my friend and it turned out to be a great experience.

When I went with my husband and daughter a few years ago, I went back to EPCOT on my own because I forgot to pick up our free pictures from our Visa card. When I got back to the room, I told my husband that one day I might do a solo trip. In November, it was just me and my daughter. She was ready to go home because she was missing her dad and our dogs and I went to EPCOT while she stayed in the room. I had an awesome time walking around taking pictures for people, getting Photopass pictures taken of myself, doing what I wanted as I wanted, people watching, etc. I loved every minute of it!! While I was there that night, I kept telling myself 'I am totally going to do a solo trip'. The one I am doing in December was not planned as a solo trip, but it worked out that way and it is exciting for that reason. LQ8 is so right; you are going to have a blast!!

I agree with Deb that this strategy may be difficult at Pop Century. Your strategy might work better at a deluxe resort where there isn't a queue set up for each individual park. When I was at Pop Century, there were lines at the bus stops at all times of the day and I sometimes had to wait for a later bus because the first bus filled to capacity with the people in line in front of me. Rather than catching the first bus that comes along, maybe you could roll dice or something to determine where you will go that day and then get in line. It keeps the spontaneity, but will better enable you to get a place on a bus.
