Hi everyone!

I'm dropping out of lurker mode with a wee bit of news.

- I just called to extend our October stay a few days. We'll be tacking on 3 days at VWL at the end of our SSR stay (Oct 12-15, specifically, Oct 4-12 for SSR). I originally planned on AKV but there were no accessible studios available at the inn. That's just 3 days inside the 7 mos' booking window. Odd that there were HA studios at VWL. Perhaps some effect of BLT madness?

- I'm in the middle of redesign for the GrandpaMohawk.com Chronicles website. Our Spring trip is about a month away so there are lots of cool tools to set up (Twitter feeds, RSS, perhaps some Ustream live webcams - depends on the room views we have). Along the way I've also begun setting up my own BroganMc.com website for more general tips & fun info I've gathered in my online life. For now you can find a story website there of the "Brogan McGill" character I authored ages ago and base my screen names on.

- Grandpa Mohawk has been officially discharged from his physical therapist and Orthopaedic surgeon. He has successfully recovered from the broken hip. Sadly his days of Irish Stepdancing have been curtailed due to arthritis in the knees. (At least that's the excuse he's using.) The biannual haircut is desperately longed for by us all. One reason to hate winter: GM's head beguns a wild forest resembling his crazy scientist work life. April 27th is the date for the great hair cut at MK Barber Shop.

Hope everyone is doing well here.

Hey Brogan:

I always enjoy seeing your posts!

I'm glad to hear that GM has been released from him PT.

It will be great to see the website with all the new features.

Very glad to hear GM has recovered and that you are getting ready for your next WDW adventure!

Great to "see" you. I am looking forward to living vicariously through your trip report again! Will your cousin or any of the family join you this time or is it just the two of you?

The cousin (aka 626.1) may be joining us for a weekend. He's a landscaper by trade so has great interest in seeing what Disney does for Flower & Garden fest. Currently cuz is remodeling my bathroom for me... ala SSR roll-in shower style. It's custom job so it's taken a while but coming along nicely. He just laid tile yesterday.

I'll post pics on the blog when the masterpiece is finished.

Today GM and I are listening to a bit of MidWest Irish Radio as I celebrate St. Patty's Day here at home while we cook up a pot of corned beef and cabbage. Irish Minnie and Mickey keep watch over us from their mantel of honor. (I have a fetish for collecting those Disney beanie babies.)

Wow--it must be catching--my Mom broke her femur in front of the Paradise Pier hotel at Disneyland on Feb. 27th--just got discharged from the rehab hospital yesterday. She's staying at my house now--and along with a caregiver will be staying there while I make a (now solo) trip to SSR beginning next week. Sorry I'm going to miss the Spring haircut be a few weeks! That would be fun to watch (and see).

Does cousin do kitchens? Does he want to come to California? :rotfl2:
