October Quiz, Final Standings and Prize-winners!!

I've been trying for half an hour to beat this flamin' server, hopefully this time will do the trick!! Before I announce the winner I just want to thank everyone one last time for taking the time to contribute. Without contestants a quiz is nothing and I think we have the best bunch of contestants right here on the UK Disboards! Give yourselves a round of applause please!!

Right! The results! In reverse order, starting with 5th place, we have, on 43 points; FLORIDA SUN!

4th place, with the grand total of 46 points, goes to; DIMPLENOSE!

3rd place, with a commendable 47 points, belongs to; MANDYMOUSE!

Runner-up spot, after leading for soooooooo long, with a superb 50 points, goes to; ALANUK! (sorry mate, time to hand over the crown!)

That means that this month's champion, with an even more superb 52 points, your new Queen of the Quiz is;

KAYLEEUK!!!

Well done to you, Kaylee! Super effort! A string of correct answers from q14 to q30 seemed to do the trick! Your prize will be on it's way to you shortly!

I also have two novelty/consolation prizes to award for some slightly more unusual categories. Two answers stood out from the others during the course of the month which I felt deserved some form of recognition. The first of these was Miffy2003's reply to question 9 which was so detailed and long-winded in it's attempt to cajole some points out of me that it almost defied belief!

Secondly, I decided to award a prize for the most inept/ comical/ridiculous answer to a question and the honour goes to Madjock for her reply to q18 which specifically stated 'Not The Phone Number'. Guess what she replied with?? I laughed and I laughed, she was so sincere it had to be rewarded. Again, ladies, your prizes will be with you soon. Hope you like them. If you haven't added your addresses to the Christmas list then pm me with them asap.

I am absoultley delighted. 5th, my first time at the quiz and I get a mention and come in the top 5..... yipee. Thanks once again, I really enjoyed it.

I did get that one right although I had resorted to trying to bore you to death in case I wasn't
