Wow, first let me say I have learned SO much from everyone here in just a few weeks! You guys are awesome! I will be going Oct 4-11 with my 2 dd's (11 & 6)..we are all very type a & while we like to take a rest, it doesn't happen often, so I do have a few breaks worked in here, but not many. We are more of the start late & stay till it closes kind of family. Mom does not do well in the am without her coffee. This will be our 4th time at Disney but our first time with just the girls and our first time when 6 yr old can RIDE space mountain!!!! Here's my plan so far, providing I can get my ps for when I need them. Now let me also say my girls LIVE for character meals, especially princesses!

Tues: Arrive mco 9:30 am, get to POP, leve luggage, walk around POP, head over to MK, dinner at CP stay for Parade & fireworks.

Wed: late seating at AK for Breakfast, AK till close, then just hang at POP for pool, dinner, girls will probably want their hair braided, stuff like that.

Thurs: b-fast at Cindys (I hope), stay at MK till after lunch, back to POP, rest, back to MK about 4ish(in costume), stay for MNSSHP, dinner at LTT 6:20 (already have this ressie) also dd's 6th bday.

Fri: MGM at opening, early 5ish ressie at Chef Mickey's, DTD for shopping. My girls don't get much out of MGM. We may come back for Fastasmic, or just keep shopping.

Sat: Epcot, Princess Lunch, back to POP, either rest, swim, shop, back to Epcot for Illuminations (would love to get a group together for a cruise this night).

Sun: Whatever we want, I'm pretty sure my girls will want to go back to AK or MK. Cindy's dinner at 1900. to end our trip

Mon: flight leaves at 11:30 so not much time other than eat & leave.

I'd like to maybe fit a character meal in somewhere...I don't think MGM has any do they? I have to check.

I'd appreciate your thoughts princess:

Hi! Our trip will overlap with yours, and we are also doing MNSSHP on the 6th. Your itinerary looks great, and I only have one suggestion. I know MNSSHP goes very late. We are taking Thursday as a full "rest day," and we will just go to the park for the party. We are also going to sleep in the next morning and hit World Showcase when it opens. You might want to take into consideration the need for extra rest around that event. Have fun, and maybe we'll see you there!

....sneaking in to say....

That's a great idea, for Epcot the day after MNSSHP, with F&W!!..... , we're also going for birthdays - dd8 and my mom!

psssst see you at MNSSHP! Wonder with all this heat now if it might be a cooler fall??? One could hope! :wizard:

Thanks for the MK advice....I was planning on making it a light day...after breakfast maybe just doing a few rides & them heading back..but my kids would be sooo bored if I kept them at the resort all day! they'd be begging! We'll see how it goes that day.

& I bet I won't get to sample much of food & Wine....maybe the Family fun stops for the kids...but they probably will not want to be there..plus it's no fun to drink with a 11 yr old and a 6 yr old !! LOL

The only thing is-- I found the one day you want to be at a park opening is the night after MNSSHP. If you plan on staying until the party ends it's a long night. So, you may want to adjust that a little bit. We always plan a quiet day for the day after MNSSHP.

Scrappinmom,
We will also be there the same time as you. We will be there Oct.1-10. We will be staying at the POP as well. That's me,DH,DD,DGM,and my 5 yo niece. I found your post so funny in the fact that we too will be at MNSSHP on the 6th w/ PS's at LTT for 6 and we will also be celbrating my DD 5th birthday!!! What a small world. I'll have to keep my eye out for you! Have a great trip hope to see you there!

How fun! Since I'm new to the boards here...it would be fun to "see" some new people while at WDW ! Are you dressing up for MNSSHP? maybe we could "look" for each other!!! hahahaha

Hi Scrappinmom.

We ( myself, DH and DD who turns 13 on the 12th) will also be at the POP Oct.4-13.
We will not be doing MNSSHP this year since we did it last year. We will probally go to Universals Horror nights instead.
I have not even thought of making reservations yet, we usually don't bother and just go with the flow and eat wherever.
The only reservation we will probally make will be one for the 12th for her birthday, she has yet to decide where she wants to eat.
see you all in Disney :wave2:

YEP !!! That;s the whole point of character dining isn't it??? :rotfl: & sure I'd love to see if we can meet! My girls always love making new friends! Let's remember to start a thread when it's closer to our time to leave !!!

Just a thought on your MGM day. Unless they have added a morning "Motorcars Stunt Show" since our trip in May, the first show wasn't until about 1pm. If you are planning to attend, get a fast pass in the am. The fast pass assures you get a seat in the stadium. You can hold the Stunt Show fast pass AND get another fast pass for different attraction at the same time.

When we came one day, we just missed the 1pm show and was amazed that we could just walk onto ride after ride. About 2pm when the steady flood of bodies flowed from the stunt show area, we realized EVERYONE had been in the stadium (it's HUGE!) and that's why we were able to ride the other rides so quickly while the show was going on! It seems that all the earlybirds hang around long enough to see the first show (so all the more reason for the fast pass). There are also shows later in the afternoon, but you mentioned a dining reservation at 5ish.

Regarding the breakfast at AK, make sure you arrive early if you are going on an extended hours day. Since a lot of people aren't purchasing the park hopper option, the parks are heavy on their extended hour day. AK doesn't have very many entrance scanners and most people take a few moments to figure out how to stick their fingers into the scanner, entering the park takes a lot longer than before. Lines to get to the scanners were very long and stretched up the hill towards the area where the trams drop you off (something I had never seen before MYW tickets). At around 10am-11am, it looked as though the park was just opening (although it had been open since 8 or 9). It was a nightmare waiting to get inside.
