JessieRoo -
You're schedule so far looks a lot like ours - we'll be at LTT at 5:20 on 10/11 so we'll look for a family dressed in the Alice theme!

Have you noticed that most of the people posting here are going the week before? I guess it's because of free dining. We have a 3-day fall break the week we are going and my kids will only miss 2 days of school.

I'm a little worried about the Columbus Day crowds, but sounds like ti will thin out a lot after that!

I hate it when I misspell something in my posts - should have been "Your schedule" not "You're schedule" - my mother would be so unhappy!

Never have figured out how to edit past posts - isn't there a button of some sort?

:confused3
The combination of EMH, MYW free dining, and Columbus Day weekend is giving me a headache..
We arrive on Tues 10/4 and leave Tues 10/11. We have a GG booked for 11 of us - 5 Adults, 2 Teen boys, 2 Pre-teen boys, 2 7 yr old boys.
I originally wanted to go to MK Wednesday but taking into account the UG which says to avoid this park and with it being an evening EMH day (guessing) I'm getting really concerned. We love to start the trip with the MK though.
Then I planned EPCOT on Thursday, thinking it might be less crowded than the weekend with the F&W festival, but again the UG says AVOID and of course, it is an evening EMH day (guessing). The only good thing is that MNSSHP is that night also....

I would love any opinions from the only people I know would understand and especially since DH is going to throw me out the window at this point if I bring it up again :earboy2:

The rest of the trip is as follows:
Friday: AK in am, hotel to rest, MNSSHP @ night.
Saturday: Sleep in, breakfast @ WCC, TL, and adult night out.
Sunday: MGM (have my concerns here too - UG says Sunday is the
busiest day for MGM and it is a PM EMH).
Monday: Sleep in, relax at pool, EPCOT in late afternoon.
Tuesday: Relax, DTD/DQ grab lunch, pick-up 4:30pm.

My main concerns are Wed @ MK, Th @ EPCOT, and Sun @ MGM. Do you think the PM EMH is going to make these parks unbearable?

Thanks all for listening! :wave2:

I've finally made all my ADR's.... so here is my plan

Wed 10/5 MGM then to Epcot after break- dinner at Chefs de France at 6pm

Fri 10/7 - back to MK -- revisit favorites- depart MCO at 9:45pm

We will be at Pop from 10/1 to 10/8. We have a pretty set-in-stone plan- I have been tinkering around with it for several months now! We are planning to mostly avoid EMH days, and to try to take it easy on this trip. I have even listed which rides and shows we will try to do at each park each day:

Hopefully, we have enough free time built in, and we will be able to take it easy- stop to "smell the roses" so to speak. :flower:

Jen - I love how you have it down to the rides/attractions you want to see. My plan isn't nearly that detailed. We'll be at POP from 10/4-10

We'll only be in the World 3 days, arriving Thurs, Oct. 6 and leaving Sunday the 9th for the Disney Wonder cruise. (I don't see many posts on these boards regarding the land-sea package - and don't see much regarding WDW on boards like Cruise Critic - anywhere else I could look for tips?)

We booked the package including airfare to MCO, so I don't know our arrival time yet. I'm assuming (hoping for) a morning flight so we can be at WDW by mid-day. Not sure how quickly the transfer from the airport happens (is that the Magic Express? Any good/bad experience with that?).

So, the basic itinerary (so far - please comment!):

Thursday afternoon/evening:
Drop bags, grab maps/info (staying at Poly)
Ride the monorail around the loop
Need suggestions for remainder of afternoon:
Head to MK? (DS3 will be chomping at the bit)
MGM (not as much we want to see there)
Beach at Poly?
No major dinner - fast food or buffet
Early evening

Friday:
All day at MK
Mid-day break for DS4 nap and dip in pool
Lunch or Dinner character meal at Crystal Palace

Saturday:
All day at Epcot
Mid-day break at Poly
(or morning at MGM, rest of day at Epcot)

Sunday:
Check out and head to AK for morning
Have heard that they'll transport bags to AK and cruise transport will pick us up from AK for trip to Port Canaveral - can anyone confirm this?

Anyway, we know we have a short time frame, and not trying to see everything. We'll focus on pre-school/no-thrills type attractions.

Any advice is appreciated!!

We are going the 17-22 of Oct.
We have bought the dining package and we are driving down.
I actually have the basic pattern and have mapped out of how I want to do the rides and shows, but I am hiding that from the group. So they will not think I have gone totally gone nuts. I drive them crazy as it is.
You all are the only ones who understand…

I can't wait to show this thread to my husband who thinks I'm crazy for already having everything planned and almost booked! :sad2: ;) (yes I even laid out the kids matching t-shirts that they'll be wearing :earseek:  ). So here's my overview:

A woman after my own heart - and planning!! :flower:

You see, we have the EXACT same dates, and you have put into words exactly what I think but you left out one detail - COLUMBUS DAY WEEKEND!! aaack! :earseek:

and all those boys - love that! Miss that!! We've been blessed with an angel - dd8, her brothers, ds 17, 19 will be holding down the fort and continueing their education :rotfl2: we'll take dd out of school, as my parents persuaded me to go during her bday, and my mom's bday... :rotfl:

So, I have the Princesses. . . I won the CRT LOTTERY - so we begin our sojourn with AR at Ohana on arrival day Tues Oct 4...

Move on to Wed - CRT 8 AM!! WOOHOO
my dad will visit with the Richard Petty Driving Rookie, while mom, and dh and dd and *I* go to the CASTLE!!''

Since Dad isnt buying 7 day tickets (they're FL residents) we'll force ourselves to eat at California Grille at 7:30 PM (my mom thinks there's entertainment here - she was there years ago... *sigh)

now Thursday - MNSSHP -
LTT 5:10 pm
(and the best part... I dont have to get up early tomorrow, I dont have to get up at 5:40AM woohoo.. )

Friday (AR is get up on Saturday, while I pack our car for a week at Camp - in the cold frozen NORTH! *sigh) Real life is interfering with my "HAPPY place", gosh darn it!!

:rotfl2:

anyway, read your post, and had to say...
