October Half Term

Hiya,

About to become tied into the School Calender from September (can't believe that Kacee is going to be 4 already, where does the time go??) I'm looking now at a trip in October as we all love Halloween at Disneyland Paris and haven't been in a couple of years.

Just how busy is the October half term? We would be staying off-site so we can escape the madness of everything if it gets too much. Has anyone had any experience with October half term? How does it compare to other school holidays?

We were there last October half term, and it was busy, but not heaving. Definately manageable with some planning. my children were 2 and four at the time, and we didn't have any problems.

Altough having said that, we didn't do any 'thrill' rides, so I can't comment on the queues for them!

We are constricted to school holidays too as other half is a college lecturer so we have been during many school holidays (including Halloween and Christmas couple of times) and as IsobelJackmummy says above, it's busy, but not heaving. It's definitely calmer during this half term than during summer holidays.

We are thrill seekers (and with no children) so not too sure it's a direct comparison, but using fast passes and planning a little bit more than I would do normally, it was definitely manageable. We have stayed both onsite and offsite during holidays but yes offsite does seem less manic in terms of waiting for check-ins etc. Halloween is one of my fav times to visit, you'll have a blast!

We have been a few times in early October for Halloween and we all love it, out favourite time at DLP by far. Thank you both for the replies, my two will be 2 and 4 a well lol!
